Oh my gosh! That is just appalling! I'm all for giving kids a 2nd chance. But that looks premeditated and cooridnated, and I can't think of any circumstance where they should be allowed to play another down. That is very dangerous behavior.

And Breckinridge Co really needs some of their big boys in the hallways to get out and play some football.

Anyone who ever counts X out before district play is crazy. X usually gets better week after week. Some years they stall out mid-season, but it is rare the first game of the season, or a scrimmage, ever says anything about X at the end of the season

Reitz is on another level. I'll have to look at Henderson's schedule, but they may match up better with Evansville Harrison or North. I haven't had a chance to look too deeply into Evansville's teams this year, but I need to. My daughter-in-law just started at Bosse this year, so I have to learn a whole new team to root for in Evansville now!

As to disclosure, Trinity produces an annual report and it's available on their website. I don't know if they "have to", but they do.

It's not jus MY work ethic. It's what people who want that for their kids do. There's no "influx". Hell, I went to high school in the 80's and the same kinds of kids were there. If a family wants that for their kids, and they are willing to do what they will need to do, it is possible. But again, some of you will never be convinced. But there are far more families making this same decision for their non-athlete children than there are athletes. But...let's just pick the segment that concerns us...athletes...because that's the only type of student any one wants to lay some sort of ownership claim to.

I should also add...I mentioned in another thread that any acts of kindness I've done for others pales in comparison to what people have done for me, well, the period while my kids were in school has plenty of examples. Friends who helped me out by bringing groceries they "didn't want" any more. My dad bringing me veggies from his garden because they had "too many". Friends and family who bought my kids clothes and shoes for birthdays and Christmas instead of Playstation games, etc. Friends of my kids who worked on our cars so I didn't have to take them to a service station to get them fixed (one of my daughter's friends actually fixed a strut mount for like $15 because he was able to find the part at a junkyard and did all the labor for free). That's how it's possible. You think I'm the only one who has friends and family like that? No way.

Well, shoot...you are kidding, right? I am a prime example that it IS possible. I sent 2 to two different Catholic schools. As such, I wasn't eligible for any family discounts because they were 2 different schools. I worked 2 jobs, one full time, one was considered part time, but I worked 32 hours on average. My daughter worked and contributed toward her tuition. My son worked and contributed to his tuition. Since I worked 2 jobs my income didn't allow too awfully much "demonstrated need". I got about $400/year in financial aid for my kids. So, where did the rest come from? We all 3 shared 1 car until my son's uncle gave him is 20 year old Civic. Then, the 3 of us shared 2 cars. I rode the bus to and from work. I never owned my home, always renting. We didn't take one vacation that entailed hotels/car rentals/air fare,or anything like that. We didn't buy many clothes, and I (luckily) am the queen of stretching a chicken to last a week. We all three also picked up any odd jobs we could to make a few extra bucks. And it's funny you mention the $8K mark on tuition, because that's just about exactly what I was paying for each at their respective schools. And one kid was an athlete, one was not. You probably still think it can't be done. And you will never be convinced otherwise.

First, no one is asking for pity. You asked how it would be possible, I simply explained how it could be possible. As to the last, we don't invite players to work out our play with the team at any time. Once enrolled, THEN kids may work out or play with the team. They cannot participate at all until they are enrolled and a tuition account has been set up, and all that jazz.
