  1. Arrez Henderson will be the best ALL AROUND athlete and player next year hands down. Nic Simpson from Highlands will be a very close second, but IMO he just doesn't have the big game experience like Arrez and doesn't help out his team as much as Arrez does. Arrez is more complete and brings not only his offense but also his defensive presence to the team. If Simpson would play and be as intense as the other Highlands players do on defense, he could be right up there with Arrez. Until he does though, he'll be Henderson's shadow. Other top players to watch: McFarland- Boone Maile- CCH (probably the most upside but not on the same level as Henderson or Simpson) Bondick- CCH Nelson- Holmes Sorrell- Holy Cross A lot of other good players in the 9th but IMO those are the top 5-7 in any order. Henderson and Simpson are the cream of the crop though.
  2. Tough loss for the Indians. Congrats to Newcath.
  3. Highlands has surprised a lot of people this year. Their coach should definetly get some consideration for NKy COY.
  4. Very good win for CCH in convincing fashion. 9th region teams seem to have BB's number this year.
  5. Thanks for the recap. I think while Ryle got the win today, Highlands proved they are one of the best in nky.
  6. That takes away meaning of their senior night IMO. But they'll play there again in the playoffs.
  7. Like him or not, Bonds is one of the greatest players ever to play the game. Definetly top 15. Former Cub Ernie Banks stated the same in an interview on Baseball Tonight. To see Bonds break the most heralded record in baseball and possibly be the only player to be in the 800 HR club, puts him as one of the greatest players ever.
  8. With Pavano having to get Tommy John surgery they had to land Clemens if they want to be in contention late in the season.
  9. It looks as if Griffey may be slowly coming back in to form. He's now batting .321 and has been seeing the ball well lately.
  10. good win for the Raiders. They continue to roll.
  11. Congratulations to Coach Krumps and his players for picking up their 21ST consecutive 20 win season. What's the record for most consecutive 20 win seasons and who?
  12. Tied, but still impressive. Good thread lbbc. :thumb:
  13. Not only does he hold the record for most no hitters but also one hitters. I don't think we'll see a pitcher of Ryan's caliber for a very long time if ever.
  14. Same here. It's always nice to bring back the history of the game. I look forward to reading more that you post.
  15. :thumb: Also there are several players who may go undrafted.
  16. 1) Beechwood 2) Mayfield 3 through 10...who cares. It will be either Beechwood or Mayfield to win it all this year.
  17. The SEC isn't the best conference in the country. Top to bottom, they are well rounded, but not the best. Let's take a look at the numbers. Based on the Pre Season early picks for the top 25: Pac 10 has 6 teams in the top 25. Big East has 5 teams in the top 25. ACC has 4 teams in the top 25. Big 12 has 2 teams in the top 25. Big 10 has 2 teams in the top 25. And last but not least, SEC has 2 teams in the top 25. IMO Pac 10 could very well have the best conference this upcoming season. Not saying a team from there will win the national championship, but top to bottom, they're more solid than any other conference from the early looks of things.
  18. I definetly recommend coming up May 12th. It's the Holmes tournament at Covington Sports Complex. There should be around 16 teams playing throughout the day on 4 different fields within walking distance of eachother. Great day to watch some fastpitch softball. If anyone wants to come and needs directions P.M me.
  19. :thumb: Good luck. I'll be pulling for you guys.
  20. I was talking about besides that loss. With Ryle and CCH it's a toss up.
  21. Good win for the Indians. I left the game when CCH was up 1-0. Both teams did indeed pound the ball. While it may sound like a pitcher's duel, the ball just wasn't going anywhere on this day.
  22. This was a slugfest. I believe Matt Rice of Holmes got his first ever varsity homerun adn a player from Bellevue had 2 homeruns. Can't think of his name right now.
