Anyone had the chance to ever play this course in Ohio? I have a Saturday morning tee time there with a client so I'm just wondering what it's like. I know it was Golf Digest Best Places to Play 2007 and host of the 2005 U.S Amatuer Public Links Championship.

I think you're misunstanding me. I didn't mean he is one of the top 10 players in nky. I just stated that HOLMES will miss him this season because a few of his stats last season were top 10 in nky such as his batting average, hits, and doubles.. I know he isn't a top 10 player in NKY and agree with you regarding the coaches assessment. :thumb:

Not a top 10 player. He was top 10 in several categories offensively in NKY last year as a junior. (Batting avg, doubles, hits, etc)

As far as Walls deserving it more...give it a rest. Congrats to a very fine young man in winning this award. I was fortunate enough to see him play this year in person and agree that he was KEntucky's top player. Good luck to Mr. Pettigrew in the future.

I thought the same thing when I didn't see Arrez on the list, but didn't want to say anything. Also I think Maile or Grimes of CCH were well deserving of being on this list as well.

The kid averaged 20 a game...sorry he only scored 15 against the state's best team to drop his average from 23 a game to 20 in the state tournament.

Camels are really rolling. I think the 10th region goes through Alexandria if CC keeps hitting and playing the way they are.

Holmes is very young this year and has a new coach. This score was expected IMO. Also Holmes will be without John Smith this season who was probably the best player on their team last year as a junior and was top 10 in many categories in NKY.

Bush just can't get over the hump against Brossart. Didn't they beat him 2 times last year? or did he split 1-1 against them.

Saw the box score of the game and a lot of Raider players contributed. Ryle keeps on rolling.

But once again, It wasn't like Walls was the only star on the team. Mackey is another D1 recruit and led them in the state title game. Walls had a much better supporting cast. He didn't single handedly lead Scott Co to the state championhip.

From the KY post today... Hill said he plans to make recruiting visits to Xavier University, Texas A & M and Winthrop later this spring. Akron has recently entered the picture. Not really. If you have a make up game and lights, it's very common to play say a 4:30 and 7 or 7:30 game.

What a gesture by the HHS coaches and players. It's nice to see that despite an intense rivalry between the two schools and win or lose, there is still great sportsmanship occuring. Hats off to the young birds and their coaches.

My mistake...got it a little mixed up because Vories was D2 POY and Austin was D1 POY.

Exactly my point. Sure Austin isn't an Oden or Durant type player but he can definetly contribute at the D1 level after a year or two. :thumb:
