Strong performance by CovCath senior Josh Bleser (3-0) as he shuts down Conner High School while throwing six strong inning. Josh had the Cougars hitters eating out of his hand, while allowing only one base runner to reach 3rd base in his six innings of work, before Coach Krumps inserted Dan Koester to close out the seventh.

 

CovCath got all five of their runs in the bottom half of the first inning with the big blow coming off the bat of right fielder Brandon Nutini who hit a shot to the deepest part of the CovCath outfield for a stand up triple. CovCath now has a record of 7-1 while Conner drops to 5-4.

 

In their last three outing, CovCath has only allowed the opposition a total of one run, as the pitching and defense has been something to see so early in the season....

 

Up next for CovCath is Ryle at Champion Windows Field in Florence. The game is scheduled to start at 5pm, weather permitting... Should be a exciting game as the last time these two team played each other the game wasn't decided until the last batter in the last inning.....

OG, how sure are you about the time...I've been told 4 different times ranging from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.....? I heard one of the coaches say he thought it was at 7:00, but wasn't sure..

While I guess Bleser could now pitch this game on Thursday, I can't see Coach Krumps going with him, as on Friday CovCath play a District contest against Holmes. The District match up against Holmes is a much more important game, so I don't think we will see the CovCath ace Thursday afternoon against Ryle.

 

Hopefully, we will see a record crowd for a regular season High School Baseball game in NKy...... Wouldn't that be great!!!.... Maybe just maybe the Crazies will come out in mass and do the roller coaster, or even the wave.... now that would be neat to see at a High School baseball game....:ylsuper: :thumb: :dancingpa :dancingpa
