I keep reading all the arguments regarding the "Player of the Year" votes by the Post & Enquirer, and who made the All-Star teams, the Honorable Mentions, etc. While I agree that most kids on these teams were very deserving, and maybe a few others as well; some on these teams actually played very little and might have been more deserving on career stats than '06-'07 performances??

I couldn't help but think about some of the kids who had just as good or better seasons, as those elected but didn't have the "name" or "reputation" coming in, and were left off!! How about those who came from nowhere to be huge contributors for their teams??

Each team had some of these kids--Who were they on your team????

Kyle Kramer's the only one that sticks out in my mind for Brossart....

Bryan Niemeyer from Brossart not getting on the Honorable Mention atleast is a joke. Scored 22 points in the championship game down at the All "A". Tore it up towards the end of the year.

I had to laugh out loud at that one myself - Strike one up for Striker!!!

Ryne Smith and Danny Miller come to mind for Scott this year!!

Matt Lloyd might have been "Role Player of the Year" more the Mustangs as well--NOBODY gave more effort!!

CovCath had several this year, but Luke Maile sticks out with me, especially the way he battled much bigger guys underneath!!

Not really NKY, but Ashland Center Ryan Bonner filled his role very nicely this year. You could count on him to get you 12 and 7 each game and the team would feed off of his hustle and spirit. He might get out of control sometimes, but I assure you that you will hear much from him for the next 2 years.

Jordan Griffin and Matt Strahlendorf of St. Henry stepped up big. With a starting forward, Rectin, hurt they played well down the stretch to get the Crusaders a 33rd District Title and a trip to the regionals for the first time since 2003.

I think I understand it as well, the nature of this thread is good-hearted too.

Cody Perkins and Nate Edmondson for Gallatin County.

Nate in particular should have received some post season recognition! At least he got to play his senior year and had a great season!!

I am a big 8th region guy. What about the improvement of the Shipp kid at Grant County. Didn't get any clock last year and made all region as a senior.
