Here is a name to throw out at you all.....Doug Preston. He has been a head coach at several schools and is a great coach. Anyone else think he would be a good fit?

I think Coach French was the head coach of the Meade County team that lost to Bell County in the state finals? If i am correct in that, then he does have championship game experience.

Thanks! I think Lincoln will bring a big crowd. I remember a sign in Pikeville when they played for state championships back in the 80's.....it said "Last one out--turn off the light!!" Maybe someone should put that up outside of Stanford!!

It is going to take a HUGE effort on the Patriots side to win this game--and I do believe that the team and coaches will give it all they have. The only team that may be able to beat Highlands is..........Highlands. They seem to have it all this year. No one even picked Lincoln to win 4-5 games, so it is an honor and priviledge to watch what these boys have done to prove the nay-sayers wrong. It has been done with heart, determination and a genuine love for teammates that hass gotten them this far. I am sure Highlands can say the same. Good Luck to both teams!

From the opening kick-off untill the final play, Lincoln dominated the game in every phase. A question for those who saw the game....what kind of offensive set was Mercer County "trying" to run? I knw they were in the bone some, but what was that other set? Having not seen them until Friday nite, had they run that before? Whatever it was, it sure didn't work.

I think Lincoln is MUCH improved since the first game, but Mercer is somewhat improved as well. Just my opinion and I am welcomed to it. Lincoln 21 Mercer 7

Some more trivia.....Lincoln County has three young men on the team this year whose fathers were also on Regional Championship Teams. Ryan Young and father Paul, Daniel Ralston and father Steve, and Tanner Edgington and father Bruce. What a great night for Lincoln County and their fans!!!

Congratulations to all of these young men. I heard that the banquet was very nice. I also heard that Coach Jaggers got on a roll and spoke for 3 hours!!:lol: Is that the truth?

Thanks. Would let you know how the sister district shapres up...but have not heard about GRC and South Laurel. Lincoln is #1 seed, but the others are still up for grabs.
