I know of noone in the WarriorNation FAITHFUL that has ever put our team in the "upper-echelon" as you call it. We are proud of our team, our boys and most of all, our coach. They work hard, they play hard, and they learn more than just football. Too bad other schools can't say the same. And also too bad our path isn't as easy as your team's path year in and year out. I think that makes a difference. We never shy away from competition, and oh yeah, beat your team this year. Let's just let the teams play, do their best and be proud of the young men they will become. GO WARRIORS!!! BEAT PULASKI - AGAIN!

I think Scott Blair was the only player to play that year. Man, he was awesome. He took on the whole Boyle Co. team - by himself!! No wonder he was runner-up to Travis Atwell in Mr. Football. Good Luck Warriors! Pull it together! The real season starts Friday Night. I know you can do it. :thumb:

But I'm just glad we got the W and noone got hurt. It was a great game, great atmosphere. You can't ask for much more in a high school game. And that's all I'll say. I'd say there were some pretty sore boys waking up this morning. Jordan Walters' QB sack at the end of the 1st half would have made SportsCenter! One of the greatest hits I've ever seen! Great RESEARCH as always. But I don't think tonight, that your research is going to hold a candle to the 4 years of frustration that the Warriors have been holding onto. This is tonight. Who cares what the all time records are? Records don't mean squat when the pads come on. Of course, you have covered yourself saying that SW will probably win. This is going to be a VERY physical game. I hope noone gets hurt, but at the same time, I hope the Warriors take it to the Jumpers. Somehow, I think they will. But as Cobb said, he isn't worried much about this week's competition. It's just a "game." With that mentality, how does he expect his players to be up for the biggest game (rivalry and gate wise)? And why play only 1 county school? It only makes sense gate wise. Somerset doesn't draw the crowds like they used to. But, being a 1A school, I guess that explains it. Go Warriors. It's rabbit season. All night long.

I think this one gets ugly real quick, especially after the passing camp at Male. SW wins - big.

It was the 2nd post that caught my eye. You said it was ridiculous for SW to be at 10. I'm not looking for a :fight: , but you need to chill out. The season hasn't even officially started yet, and already you're talking smack. Maybe if Bullitt East was ranked Number 1, you wouldn't be foaming at the mouth. :eek:

I wish SW wasn't ranked in anything. I think it has quite a bit to do with respect. Granted, Bullitt East earned alot of respect last year. But to get on a message board and blow smoke about a PRE-season poll, get over it. It is what it is. A PRE-SEASON poll. The only thing that matters, are the last two standing teams the first Friday/Saturday in December. That being said.....SW looked pretty good against Dunbar last night. Still have a LONG way to go, but nice first scrimmage. Looking forward to the season! Football is in the air!!

Seth Tamme is a warrior (no pun intended). He is a great football player and has taken some really big hits (some from the SW defense!) I saw his finger and thought there was no way he would come back in. There is a great football rivalry between these schools, now it looks like there might be a new one! Good luck at the Sweet 16 Rebels! I know you will represent the 12th well.

Just read on "another" board Blake will walk-on at UK. Does anyone know if he is qualified yet? Would be great for Blake.

The majority of teams Southwestern played catered their offenses around Josh Minton. Whichever side he was on, they ran the other way. Josh was doubled and sometimes tripled teamed all year! Congratulations to all the kids who made the list!

So suppose they just do away with the AP All State team. Seems as if everyone puts more stock into the Coaches' All State team. It's going to be political no matter who chooses the teams. I, myself, sometimes think the AP puts more time into the college games. I know here in Somerset, you would find more "journalists" at the UK games than you would the local games. And that, is sad. How many articles do you see published by someone from the Commonwealth Journal in the Herald Leader or Courier Journal? None. It's just a way for the "journalists" to get on the sideline or in the interview room or the hospitality rooms. Maybe they should use that time to put more time into their AP ballot. But I guess it doesn't look as cool. Just my opinion. I'm sure I'll get ripped for it. And I think the uproar is justified. These polls mean alot to the kids playing. Sometimes I think that is forgotten.

No one said your schedule wasn't tough. We know what it is like to be in a weak district. But......your comment about SW not playing anyone was over the top. Give it a rest.
