Has anyone heard if Colin Murphy will pitch against DeSales? With Trinity's top two pitchers nursing elbows, T needs Colin more than ever.

I don't think the UofL can be considered a sure win very often at all. Archrivalries are always unpredictable and this year I believe the game is in Louisville so I will say UK SHOULD win but I am not ready to say it is a sure thing. This is Leach's second year so he will have a full year to emplement his system so I am not sure how MSU will be this year. I know very little about Mizzou so I am not sure what to think about that game. So again, I feel six individually in themselves are very safe and have to believe atleast one if not two more out of the rest of the schedule is pretty safe to assume.

UK has 6 games alone that are almost sure wins: Lou Monroe, UT Chat, So Car, UT, Vandy and N Mex. I have to believe they can get atleast one more win out of the rest of that schedule (Mizzou, UF, LSU, UGA, MSU and UofL).

UofL certainly has provided plenty of entertainment over the decade or so. About 10 or so years ago Rick gets extorted by the wife of a fellow UofL employee he impregnated in a booth of an Italian restaurant, a few years later one of his staff hires hookers for recruits, recruits who later helped the program to a national championship which would be stripped away, the first time ever to happen in basketball, a few years later while on probation for Hookergate, a recruit (or recruits?) is/are getting payments in some bizarre relationship with an Adidas executive and now another head coach is being extorted by a (formerly) trusted assistant threatening to release Level 2 violations while again on probation when you would think the program would be running the squeakiest clean program ever. If we have learned anything from this, UofL is going to UofL.

Weren't those two pretty close? Coaches together for years at Cincy and prior school? Pretty harsh to extort a supposed friend and then the friend turn around and call the FBI on him which could lead to felony charges.

He may be back in a year assuming Harbaugh doesn't improve anything at Michigan and gets fired somewhere around Nov/Dec 2021.

If the majority of fans are in the same boat in that they are less invested in college football, the college playoffs are getting some pretty impressive ratings on just three fan bases (granted two of those fan bases I imagine are #2 and 3 in size of fan bases). My guess is the fan bases of SEC, ACC and Big 10 conferences are very interested and the Big 12 to a somewhat lesser degree but most of those fan bases agree with the rest of college football fan bases that expanding the playoffs should be done.

My preference would be 8 team play off but if it were going to be 12 teams, seeds 1-4 get byes to the second round and then let MAC, Sunbelt, PAC10, etc. champions weed out the weaker teams amongst them and let the stronger teams among them move to the second round to play seeds 1-4 (Bama, Clemson, OSU, etc.) which you would think would decrease the likelihood of boring blow outs in the playoffs.

His wearing a seatbelt makes suicide unlikely.

Unless Gatewood or Allen turn out to be a heck of alot better than most expect, an LSU team in turmoil will still beat UK by 10 or so.

I'm not Deuce but I agree with him. Here is my thoughts For sure losses: 1. Florida 2. LSU 3. UGA So starting there, 9 wins is the BEST UK can do. Some will say UK will beat LSU, I don't see it. For sure wins: 1. Louisiana Monroe 2. UT Chattanooga 3. So Carolina 4. UT 5. Vandy 6. New Mexico State So assuming UK doesn't have a football season similar to this basketball season (ie collapse), six wins is the worst UK can do. Can go either way games: 1. Mizzou - being a home game UK SHOULD win but.........we are talking about UK 2. Miss State Univ - I give a small edge to MSU being in Starkville 3. UofL - being in Lexington, UK has the edge but this game is no way a sure win. I would say it is highly unlikely UK will win all three or lose all three of Mizzou, MSU and UofL, they will win one or two of them. So, to me, a GREAT season is 9-3, a good season is 8-4, a so-so season is 7-5, a bad season is 6-6, anything less is UK looking like the UK of years past. Anything better than 9-3 is an insane season.

But the three games after that are almost certainly losses.

They may have done a nationwide search but I doubt there are too many coaches nationwide who's coaching was as impressive as his with the defense he built at Trinity.

I was thinking the same thing earlier.

Chuck Smith interviewed for the THS job back in 2000 when Beatty was hired. Pretty sure he was among the finalists.

Kevin Wright brought Coverdale with him from Noblesville IN, maybe the new coach will bring his key assistant or maybe two (OC? DC?) and retain the rest of the staff knowing he can hire his own guys down the road if the current assistants don't match his system.

I wonder if the new coach will keep the existing assistant coaches or will bring his own assistants or maybe a mix of existing assistants and his own.

I wonder who is on the search committee? I am sure Rob Saxton and Rob Mullen are chairing it but would be interesting to know who else. I would have to believe they already have a list they want to talk to and may have already quietly reached out to them.

I will hold off on taking the vaccine until it ot too much of a pain in the butt not to i.e. bars and restaurants require it to come in sports venues require it, employers require it to work there, etc..

Someone mentioned that Louisville's athletic Mount Rushmore would be Ali, Hornung, Pee Wee Reese and Darrel Griffith.

As much as F1 entertains me, not having cable/dish/other pay service limits my viewing of the races so I really haven't been able to keep up. That and needing to pick up a second job has wiped out free time, blahhhh.
