Trinity dominated on defense and special teams to roll over Tigers. Tigers one score was opening kickoff return. Trinity defense had two pick 6’s and held St.X offense to a FG. Trinity also had two punt returns for TD.

I watched a little of this game when the feed was working and my takeaway was WOW on the Trinity defense.

 

 

The Trinity defense is as good as advertised.

Those linebackers are really good but the defensive line makes them go.

That is what stuck out to me, definite wow factor, they come off the ball like a pro defensive line.

Yes and they have 4-5 guys they rotate. IMO the best one Alton Jefferson missed about two and a half quarters tonight. He's also missed the Male game.

Those guys up front are really good.

A little off topic but the Trinity freshman team looked pretty good too.

Trinity has a bunch of good LB's, including as of  this moment an Appalachian  State commit (Ely) and a Cincinnati commit (Dingle).........although  Ely has been playing on the DL lately.   Don't know if it is because of injuries or just because it makes the defense better. 

I don't want to be negative in the wake of a big win, but I don't think T's offense has been as sharp this year as it  was last year.    Hopefully. it will get better.

Trinity had two starting O-Lineman out so that probably had an impact.

Bob Beatty said something similar about the defense after the Male win. If the head coach is saying “wow” about his defense two games into the season you know they’re good.

I watch a lot of high school football and not much jumps out at me, the Rocks DL jumped out at me.  I think I even moved back from the keyboard.
