  1. What a comeback. Mercer was down 14 points midway of the 3rd.
  2. To me, Jones is as dominate a player as there is in the 12th Region.
  3. #12 Lincoln County beat #5 GRC, #2 Scott County and #17 Simon Kenton on three consecutive days. That’s a pretty nifty regular-season accomplishment. The Lady Patriots came very close to beating Mercer County in the 12th Region Tournament last year and without Mercer, would have been the favorite the past two seasons in the Region. This is a very talented team and it will be interesting to see if they can continue to live up to their potential.
  4. PP92, dead on. Gonna be a crazy tournament, again. I had the radio call on this one and noticed your blood-clean-up comment in the update thread. Know what happened? The floor had been painted recently and there were specks of red paint on the floor. After it would not come up, they finally figured out that it wasn’t blood.
  5. Game 1: Lincoln County vs Woodford County Game 2: Wayne County vs Shelby County
  6. I started sitting by myself when I heard this comment at a high school game, “It’s ok, we have timeouts and the two-minute warning......”
  7. He is doing a great job. They always make necessary adjustments and improve as the game goes on.
  8. Your man, the big TE, had a nice catch and run last night for about 50 yards.
  9. Lincoln County improves to 6-3 on the year. They travel to Montgomery County next week. Darius Napier had over 200 yards rushing. Bryson Yaden eclipsed Levi Rogers’ (2004-2007) school career passing yardage record (3,318).
  10. Lincoln was down 14-0 before they ever went on offense. They battled back and had three chances for the go-ahead score but Pulaski denied them each time. One of those was a first and ten at the PC 20.
  11. Final from Hodgenville Lincoln County 14 Larue County 13 What. A. Finish! With the game tied at 7-7 with less than 2 minutes left, Darius Napier ran 95 yards for a score to put Lincoln up 14-7. Larue responded and drove down for the score. On the scoring play, there was a roughing the passer penalty on Lincoln and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Larue. The Larue penalty was assessed on the PAT, so Larue tried a two point conversion from the 18 yard line. Sawyer Carried foiled the PAT with a strip-sack. Lincoln was up 14-13 but the roughing the passer was assessed on the kickoff and Larue recovered an onside kick at the Lincoln 31 yard line. On 4th and 15 from the 21 yard line, Larue completed a pass to the end zone but the receiver was out of bounds. Lincoln held on for the 14-13 win.
  12. You saw that game. The turnovers snowballed and Somerset had Lincoln by the jugular before they knew it. This team has gained confidence since then. They don’t hang their heads when they get behind. They stiffen up and go to work. The coaches do a great job with schemes and adjustments. It has been a great turn-around!
