People are always wanting to compare the older teams to the ones of today. The thing that really stands out to me in all levels is the ungodly size of these kids today. I mean these guys are huge! Teams today are just too big, too strong, and too fast for those in my day.

Listen, Danville, like them or not, has won several titles, some of them with losses during the season. This is a program that knows how to recover from a loss and bounce back. I wouldn't count them out just yet.

I think people shouldn't take comments like that personally. I think Coach Mitchell was just giving an honest answer to his situation there this year. In our feel good society where you cannot speak the truth or be honest, you get criticized for telling the truth.

This didn't suprise me, I called the P-Burg upset earlier. I think they are both pretty tough teams, just not quite as good as some optimistic fans think.

I like Harlan by 10. They are playing well, despite the loss Friday night.

I like Estill to win!

Its easy for kids to do that once they have been beaten several times. Its very tough to keep confidence up like that. You just have to encourage them to play hard no matter what.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling P-Burg gets the upset 14-13.

I think this will be a fairly close game. PCC is winless, but has played a good schedule, KCC has a couple of wins against lesser competition, and has not faired well against the stronger opponents they have played. I look for PCC to come out on top by 10 or 12 points.

Clay Co. definately has to be the favorite in this one, too many weapons and a little better schedule. Knott does have a couple of talented backs and some senior leadership. I just don't think it will be enough against Clay. I look for a similar score like the Sheldon Clark game. 42-20, 49-20, something like that. Knott will score some with those backs, but Clay has too much overall speed for them to handle.

NO WAY! I would love to see LCC win as much as anyone, but it just ain't gonna happen!

Its really difficult to gauge this match-up, KCC is 2-0, but the opposition is not nearly as tough as S.C. has faced. This is KCC's best team in quite some time, if they are going to make the playoffs, this is the year to do it before they go into that super tough district. It was between them and Cawood last year, both teams appear to be improved, so who knows. S.C. probably has too many weapons for them to handle, I think the Cards have a real shot of winning their district. I don't think the game will be 71-0 or anything like that, but I do think S.C. will definately be the favorite.

Coach, you are absolutely right, Rome wasn't built in a day and Betsy Layne is in much worse shape than Rome. I do wish you the very best though.

Cawood might have something to say about that.

I would consider this an upset considering the talent Fort Campbell lost last year.

As I said before, Bobby will definately have his hands full down there, hopefully they will support him and let him hire some coaches. Bobby has wanted this opportunity for a long time and I sure hope he can make the most of it.
