Paris 55 Knott County Central 6 (scrimmage)

Featured Replies

Greyhounds dominated from start to finish.

Paris led 6-0 after one quarter and 20-6 at the half and then extended that out to 43-6 at the end of the third. The varsity didn't play the fourth quarter and the younger guys came in for Paris and scored twice 55-6. The Hounds had to much speed and and they never really had a chance!

Sounds like Paris is back.

I'm happy to hear that, even though I root for a district rival.

To quote a Hebrew proverb: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." I'm glad to see our district improving. Good luck (& work hard!)

Sounds like Paris is back.

I watched Paris in the Spring track season. Most of their runners were football players. Very big and extremely fast. Paris could be a battle for a lot of teams. Good to see things are on the upswing.

Actually, Paris' young team scored four touchdowns in the final quarter instead of two!

The Varsity score was 28- 6 , Knott really hurt themselves with red zone penaties, costing them 1 score, and a chance at another, also an inadvretant whistle:rolleyes: wiped out a long pass down to to the Paris 4 yard line. Paris is a very solid team.

Paris looked really good. They went down there and showed everyone that they are for real. A lot of speed and a lot of strength- and in much better physical condition... Goodluck HOUNDS!!!:ylsuper:

Hopefully Paris will have one of those dream type seasons that all teams wish for.

I am a fan from another team in that district but I have Paris as the team to beat. They improved last year as the season progressed and gave us all we wanted at their place in the last game of the season. They should be tough this year as well.

Paris will be a contender- I truly think so... They looked good.

Chase had a very good game, he looked really good. The defense scored a touchdown on a fumble, I do believe it was Eric Nason?

Middle Linebacker, Travis Angel, was beating them down - nothing came up the middle.

Chase has a brother- freshmen- that is going to be an awesome linebacker too.

I found this from a year ago:

Can any team in the state top this!

Paris' Offensive line...

Billy Bowman..................6-0......205.....Sr.

Chase Dumphord.............6-6......306.....Jr.

Erik Nason.....................5-10.....245.....Jr.

Nick Wilson...................5-10......339.....Jr.

Tyquan Rice..................6-1.......314.....Sr.

Trey Rankin...................6-0.......200.....Jr.

Top Sub

Janon Brown..................5-8.......245.....Fr.

That's an averaged of 6-0 264.8 pounds of beef. Not bad for a class A school. Not bad at all.

It looks like they lost 2 seniors: 205 & 314. That still leaves some pretty big boys! :D

Is this still accurate?

P.S. I posted this in another thread, but realized that this would be a better place.

That is accurate.

Dumphord and Nason may be a little bit bigger, just give or take a few pounds and inches. There is a new center- he is a senior. I would say he ways over 200 lbs and is atleast 6'?

Almost all upper-classman were benching over 300 lbs this winter, that is this years Juniors and Seniors.
