You're right on there...I was dead red (and couldn't hit those most of the time).

I might have actually hit a few more homers in my career if I played there.

I had heard that Somerset was planning on resurfacing their infield. They have very nice facilities, but it would be great if they smoothed out their playing surface a bit.

That's just before semi state, so it was about 50/50 bermuda and rye at the time. It's usually nicer early in the spring when it's all rye; gives it a much deeper green. I can't take credit for the pictures, unfortunately. Me and electronics just don't mix...

Some student athletes do bring troubles upon themselves. If fans want to ridicule those athletes, I suppose that's fine. However, when an official acts in a biased manner towards an athlete and it has an effect on the outcome of a game, something is wrong. Officials are supposed to be, first and foremost, professional.

Also, remember playing on Coastal Carolina's field before they were good. Great memories.

The Perkins brothers played under control; there were no technicals in this game. I'm not in the habit of complaining about officials, but this game seemed oddly officiated. In it you had: A. An official that slammed the basketball to the floor and came after a coach to argue, something I don't think I've ever seen. B. An official call a technical foul on a kid (T Perkins), then have to waive it because there was no reason to call it???? C. An official that hit J Perkins w/ 4 of his 5 fouls, but may have been the furthest official from the plays. Now, the kicker: It was the same official. Something just wasn't right...

I like Mac, he makes me laugh. Gets on his kids to the point where some feel it's abusive, but the kids will go to war for him. Anybody know what ever happened to Richardson? He had some very good teams while I was in school. Mythical national champion - that's pretty impressive.
