Sadly, Huggins does pretty well on the recruiting front. But I understand what you're saying. Facts of the matter are, the University does not want to be embarrased by BCG. They are trying to make sure that they have the option of removing him before anything embarrasing can occur.

Larry Glover said as much yesterday on his morning show (about the extra-curricular activities). My belief is that UK wants a pretty strict morals clause in the contract, just as JD said. I've been hesitant to comment on BCG, but I felt when they hired him it would end up on either end of the spectrum - that is, uparalleled success, or, a fiery crash. Take it for what it is, I'm a UK fan and always will be, but this whole contract episode (and a loss to Gardner Webb) has me a little worried.

Was Kentucky 25 point favorites in those games? Didn't think so. Dayton and Penn State are on different planets than Gardner Webb. To make a point, I played baseball at an NAIA school in Kentucky, and I beat Gardner Webb's baseball team 5-4, and I sucked

Aren't there two McDonald's All-Americans on that roster? Let's face it, Tubby never lost to a Gardner-Webb. He won twenty games a year and got run out of town for it. And if I wanted to score 60 something points, I would have kept Tubby. BTW, that ball line defense isn't looking so bad now is it? All in fun, folks, but there are slivers of truth in it.
