Did Taylor have some late-season injuries? They were cruising the first half of the season!

The player they really missed in first few games was #33 Brady Sanderson. He would have really helped against Madisonville’s run attack.

I remember he was very good too

I’m pretty sure Woodfork is enrolled at McCracken. I don’t have any firsthand knowledge but I assume he has been cleared to play his Senior year there. Sports are different these days.

Happy early birthday, TilghmanPride! Hope you have a good one!!! The Lakers hired PT’s Offensive Coordinator from last season - Coby Lewis. I’m not real sure how much play calling he did for the Tornado but obviously he was involved in their offensive system. I’m not sure what Lewis did before PT. I also think one of Lewis’s sons is one of the Lakers main pass catchers. A senior I believe.

I got a chance to see the rankings from the UK Basketball Yearbook. Pick it up if you want to get some commentary. 1-McCracken, 2-Marshall, 3-Graves, 4-Carlisle, 5-St. Mary, 6-Murray, 7-Mayfield, 8-Calloway, 9-CFS, 10-Ballard A little surprised to not see Tilghman on the list but there are lots of unknowns with that team. Otherwise I think these rankings are pretty good.

Anyone know if Sanderson for PT is back yet? I didn’t get to see the Madisonville. I think he is very good against the run. But obviously they want to make sure he’s 100% healthy first.

I’m interested in how you say that Mayfield has the better passing game. PT lost a lot of WRs but have basically reloaded there. However, I have heard that Mayfield’s QB is much improved from last year. I haven’t had a chance to see him yet this season.

I watched the interview that Football of Ky did with Coach Thompson (he does a great interview). Coach was asked about Brady Sanderson who I think was injured in one of the scrimmages. Coach said they got some good news in that he’s only out 2 to 4 weeks. Not sure if he’ll be ready by Mayfield game - that might be a stretch. Sanderson is a LB who was PT’s top returning tackler. By quite a bit I think.

You might see some yellow shirts tonight. Mayfield has a Freshman who is battling bone cancer (saw the story on WPSD).

My buddy sent me a prediction from a website that picked McCracken by 6. I’m not gonna lie - I had to do a double take. The article touted McCracken’s QB, Maddox O’Neal and I agree that he’s very good. But I think PT has the upper hand in the majority of the other position groups. Maybe this one will be closer than I originally thought???
