PT  8-1   Christian County   1-8

Offense: PT 44.44 ppg   Christian 16.55 ppg

Defense: PT  18.22 ppg   Christian 53.77 ppg

Tilghman gets to host the Colonels in their last regular season game as a school before the merger with Hopkinsville next season. They last played in 2018, a 12-8 victory for PT, in a game I remember really well. That was back with Coach Smith and PT threw the ball 2 times in that game and ran it for 43. Things have changed a little bit since then.

Christian has allowed the most points in the state this season, Tilghman tends to put some points on the board. Not a good recipe for a chance in this one. Not that anyone would expect it. It's just been a really rough stretch for the Colonels these past several seasons from a historically really proud program. Christian County's lone win this season was against a 1A Caverna team who has only two wins themselves.

Anyway, I find it kinda sad that the Christian County and Hopkinsville experience are coming to an end. Pretty much my whole family has been through Tilghman at some point, and there are a lot of memories from the 60's up until present day. A lot of those memories are from games against the Colonels and Tigers. So many good games, so many good players on both teams to think back on. I'm sure a thread about exactly that could garner a lot of interest at some point.

The second season will start after this game and everyone will get a fresh 0-0 start in what is surely to be an exciting playoffs in most of the classes.

Farewell, Colonels! Best wishes with the merger.

PT JV & Frosh will get a lot of work.

My only concern would be Tilghman coming out of the game injury free. Also by playing a 6A team will that be enough for Tilghman to overtake Highlands in the RPI since their bye week is Friday?

I was wondering the same thing, also if Franklin loses to BG how much does that drop Franklin.

Which they may do with Bowling Green starting to play better.

Believe they would’ve been better off playing against Russellville again. Blue Tornado HUGE in this one 63-0.

Rumors swirling around Hopkinsville that Christian County is considering forfeiting the game to Paducah Tilghman, and their first round matchup with South Warren as well. They okay stuck it out to play Hoptown one last time. If Christian County ends up paying the fine and Forfeiting the game PTs Senior Night will be against Taylor County in the first round of the playoffs

I assume this game is still on?  I haven’t heard anything differently as of yet.

I know PTs defense has had several key injuries on the defensive side of the ball. Are any or all of these players back healthy now, if needed? I don't worry about the offense, but, they've shown some flaws on D this year. If they have these guys back heathy, this is a very dangerous team.

I do believe most players if not all are back.

McPike ran the opening kickoff back for a td. This game, as we all thought, will end quickly.

Christian County only with about 25 players.

14-0 Tilghman with only 22 seconds gone.

The player they really missed in first few games was #33 Brady Sanderson.  He would have really helped against Madisonville’s run attack.

Sanderson is tough!
