  1. He's the best SR in Kentucky, he's the best player in Kentucky. Whatever the criteria, it's his trophy.
  2. Shoptaw has 2 (two) TD passes this year. In 2026, that's embarrassing. It's embarrassing in 1956. Shocking they didn't give the senior a shot, and worse still haven't.
  3. BG struggled with Barren County, just to be clear.
  4. Def running clock by T, and probably early. How come Jacobson over Burmester? Would think he'd be next up, or as some have said privately he should've been ahead of Shoptaw in the first place?
  5. Or could play T? That'd be nice. During the next cycle it has been challenging, CAL will likely be playing an out of state team next year at the end of the regular season. X at least tried to work out a deal, give them credit. Boyle went radio silence when time to fish or cut bait...real talk. T available the week after the state title? Redman can hook up Lynn Family Stadium. Be just for funsies...how bout it?
  6. Owensboro wins, prob by 14+.
  7. 28-0 at the end of 1q…..complete beatdown. Could be 100-0 through 3 if CAL wanted. And mainly running the ball.
  8. Agree completely. Manual looked like a pretty complete team vs CAL. Meanwhile Ryle lost the kitchen sink.
  9. I actually agree with the playing both ways deal as a positive for SD. But regrettably that did not help Connor Hodge in the MF race, despite complete dominance on both sides of the ball.
  10. Also, if we’re playing a shell game, feel free to add 4x in a row champ CAL who beat 2 of those 10 on the road last year, beat one of them on the road last Friday, has the #2 recruit in the nation, a top 3 Mr Football candidate, and the national completion percentage record holder. But hey it’s an otherwise good list!
  11. ^ saw that one, I’d love to meet the clown that made that list 🤡
  12. What happened that week? Not trying to be nosy, just genuinely curious.
  13. Appears to be, yes.
  14. Pretty thorough win vs Huntington. 10 on, 10 off style. Offense was as pitch and catch as I’ve seen in this format.
  15. They have 4 upperclassman Q’s off the top of my head, you’d think there’d be some chatter on here about that. I would think it would be tough sledding for X this year after Busch/Harbin/Trimble left. Who wins at Q? Any signs of life on offense or this going to be a grind it out D-centric team?
  16. No St X spring ball chatter at all? Lot of QB’s in the QB room, who looks to be QB1?
  17. Agree a thousand percent. Those 5 district games will hamper CAL’s efforts to have the best schedule possible. Ridiculous.
  18. Could have saved everyone a whole lot of time and trouble by just asking CAL to moved up. They would have.
  19. He’s listed as both, some ‘26 and some ‘27…you really shouldn’t be able to hold back that late, or in HS at all….maybe it’s just a clerical error.
  20. I have not looked at the criteria, would love to know the answer as well. I would think if it is limited to SRs then it should be based on SR year excellence. Would think Ja’Hyde is the frontrunner. He looks like he is playing a different sport than everyone else. Barring injury, he is poised to put up comic book numbers this year.
  21. Yup. Shoptaw didn’t transfer to sit, imo. I think he wins the job outright in camp or soon after. Ruffling feathers is indeed long gone. I don’t necessarily agree with the nonstop transfers everywhere and every year, but the cat is out of the bag at this point.
  22. Probably would have. I think CAL to 4A will be fantastic. But to think they did this just because of one school is hilarious, and it proves KHSAA is an unserious organization. I would love to have a list or recording of the arguments and who out of 3A made them. I can think of a few off hand, randomly somewhere southeast of Barbourville and west of Harlan. Most hilarious in this…and I’m no LCA fan…is that LCA is about to run roughshod over the very people that asked for this. See you at the next realignment lols! 1.35 for CAL, -1.35 for LCA this time!!! Gotta let some other folks win that tried real hard!!!!1 Could. Have. Just. Asked.
  23. Heartbreaking, praying for Frank and his family to have some comfort through this. Appreciate what a labor of love he has done for so long, an done so well. While I love the site, my son absolutely geeks out over it…he deep dives every week of football season.
  24. These generic write-ups are just that. It appears this player was not their primary QB unless there was an injury, and was outperformed by another Q from the same class on his team. May not have been much of an opportunity for playing time, offers or not. Not much other data available. 50% completion, 3TD/3INT if max preps is correct. Best of luck to him in his relocation. https://www.maxpreps.com/fl/orlando/the-first-academy-royals/football/stats/#Player
