12th Region Fan

The rumor at the boys tournament in the 12th this week was that Pulaski was looking to expand their floor to the same length as college. If that’s the case, I would think they may get to host every year.

I commented in the East Jess thread that they should calling Ryan Young today. I’ll say the same in here. I would be gauging his interest because I feel like he would be a great hire. With that said, maybe he has zero interest in leaving Somerset. But I think with family not in the area, he would definitely listen to offers.

The game plan that Coach Fraley and his staff put together was impressive. The defense that was played tonight was the best I have seen in a very long time. Kudos to the Maroons as they are the back to back 12th Region Champs!

Should be a great game. The place will be absolutely packed. Pulaski County High School is just the perfect place for a regional tournament. I’m excited to see the senior guards go at it in Whitaker and Blankenship.

No way the AD’s are going to agree for Casey County to be in on the regional rotation.

The realignment would definitely play a factor. But if they stay in the 12th, I think it would definitely be something Young would want to listen to. A much bigger talent pool to pick from. Also, historically it is a much easier district as well. Family ties, a chance to be in the region tournament every year, and a bigger talent pool. Regardless if he ends up the coach there or not, I think we will hear his name connected to any opening in the 12th. Like I said in a previous post, if you’re an AD in the 12th he would have to be on your short list.

Well that changes next year. They have a transfer student who stands at about 6”10.

Pulaski’s comeback will get over shadowed by Somerset’s (rightfully so). However, the maroons showed grit in the 4th quarter. Tomorrow night will be a mad house at Pulaski County High School.

Coach Young does a great job, and his teams are always prepared. The same could be said with his teams at Garrard. If I was an AD and I had a coaches opening he would have to be toward the top of the list of phone calls I’d be making. The way he gets his best players open looks is impressive.

This was a great high school basketball game. Somerset and DCA Monday night should be a classic.

Safe to say Coach Fraley has a good thing going, and has built a program that competes year in and year out. In his 8 years at the helm of Pulaski he has been in the semis every year, and has won two titles. If he gets this group to the finals then it may be his best job yet.

I don’t agree with this. His seat was probably warm going into the season. Then you miss the region tournament and get beat by Trinity Christian. I know some things happened that were out of his control, but let’s not act like 17-14 and a first round loss in the district is something that is job saving worthy.

I also think people forget that Boyle County starts two freshman, and plays another freshman off the bench.

Impressive win for the maroons. Coach Fraley had his team locked in from the tip. It also should be noted that Pulaski had a starter go down within the first two minutes, and he never returned. Makes the win that much better.

And no, I’m not surprised this job came open.

I think this is spot on. Pulaski been playing zone for the last month or so and have only lost one game by double digits all season. I fully expect a tight one tonight, and whoever makes the plays down the stretch will be the winner.

Maybe they will bring back Sharp?

There was streaming for the girls tournament at Lincoln. I figured the boys would be streamed somewhere as well?

How does gate split work? Do all 8 teams get a piece? And what about concessions?
