Statsdontlie Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Pulaski County dominated Somerset from start to finish. Congratulations Pulaski County 2024 12th Region Champions!
Jumper_Dad Posted March 13, 2024 Author Posted March 13, 2024 Pulaski played solid the whole way and jumped on Somerset early. Somerset seemed to have left it all on the floor last night. Congrats Maroons on the 12th Region Title and good luck against Trinity at Rupp! 1
se7ens Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 I thought that whoever made it out of that barn burner last night would be disadvantaged but I didn’t think the deficit would be this bad. Congrats to Somerset on a great year. They fought through some serious adversity to have a great run in the regional and get to claim an all-time great win with that victory last night. Now we get to see if a full strength, all cylinders Maroon squad can keep this success up at Rupp. 2
LethalPG Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Congratulations to the Maroons. They were the better team tonight.
QueenoftheSouth Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 What Coach Fraley is doing at Pulaski is impressive. They lost two 20 PPG scorers (and 6 of their top 8 players) from last year’s team. Not that Fraley and Blankenship aren’t important pieces as they combined for 20 PPG last year, but that’s all of the experience they returned. And Fraley hasn’t been healthy for much of the year. Yet they won 22 games, were 14-4 in regional play, and are headed to Rupp. I’m sure that it would’ve been a highly competitive game under different circumstances. Regardless, Pulaski is very well coached on both sides of the ball. Congrats to Coach Fraley. 3
12th Region Fan Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 The game plan that Coach Fraley and his staff put together was impressive. The defense that was played tonight was the best I have seen in a very long time. Kudos to the Maroons as they are the back to back 12th Region Champs!

Their ball movement was excellent, mostly due to Carson Fraley. When he focuses on passing the ball they get good shots. Switching on screens worked much better than DCA’s strategy of fighting over them.
Statsdontlie Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 When you mention the top coaches in the 12th Region, Fraley has to be near the top with Jackson from Lincoln County and Woods from Wayne County.

I do agree that Fraley has solidified himself as a top coach. Based on what he accomplished this year, along with his resume coaching in NAIA, I’d also include Mercer’s Keith Adkins in that group. And I think Coach Ryan Young is the best young coach in the region.

He went into the regional HOF this year. He does a great job every year, and gets his kids to play hard. I would also say they have a very effective feeder system (similar to Lincoln Co.) Colton Fraley, Carson's brother runs the middle school program for them. 1
