Just to be clear, I wasn’t saying he should be fired. I was reacting to a post that claimed they wouldn’t be surprised if a coaching change does occur. As an outsider of the program but a fan of the 12th region as a whole it wouldn’t shock me either. This team was good enough to make the 12th this year in that district. Hard for me to believe the end of this season hasn’t been a disappointment. With all that said, again I’m an outsider. Not calling for his job. Didn’t know any of the team issues taking place. I was just saying in a couple of months if a thread pops up that this job is open that it wouldn’t be shocking to me.

I was thinking the same thing. To not make the region this year is not good. With West being down, they had to capitalize. And next year Mercer brings a ton back and West gets their transfer student eligible.

Congrats to Trinity Christian! Very deserving. Assuming Mercer hangs on, when is the last time a Jessamine school has not been in the region tournament?

What a game it was. Jace Rogers from Rockcastle was incredible. Pulaski made just enough plays to hang on. I think they led by as many as 14 at one point. I thought it was super neat to see Carson Fraley get player of the game after battling injuries all year. Tough kid!

Are any other districts doing live streaming?

Has to be one of the best first round district matchups! These two split in the regular season with each team getting a road victory. Rockcastle is hosting this game tonight. Should be a really good contest with the winner punching their ticket to the region tournament.

Excited to watch the Rockcastle and Pulaski matchup tomorrow night, and then the Boyle/Lincoln matchup later in the week! I’m taking the two coaches who have been in the region finals the last two years. Give me Fraley and Jackson to both advance.

That’s a big win for Coach Dunbar and the Warriors. I have always thought Coach Dunbar does a really good job getting his teams prepared. I look for them to be a hard out for someone in the first round of the region. After these last couple weeks the Warriors should have a ton of confidence!

I just don’t know who would want this job. Maybe some the applicants that put in for the Lincoln job?

Congratulations Brady Hull! I fully expect them to run the ball more with that offensive line and Kasen Brock leading the backfield.

Just noticed Pulaski and Rockcastle play tomorrow night. I had just assumed this game had already been made up. I believe this game has big district seeding on the line.

What does the 45th district tournament look like now? As far as matchups. I know DCA is the one seed, but how does the rest shake out?

If the new player for DCA is as good as the fans are saying from last nights game, then I believe the region became DCA’s to lose. Not always the best team wins. But I believe we now have one clear front runner.

I know Somerset has a few losses of late, but they had some injuries. I have a hard time believing they aren’t top 3-4. There are some key injuries around the region, and it may end up being who is the healthiest that get to cut down the nets.

I think at the beginning of the year this is the Wayne County everyone across the 12th expected. If Wayne gets good guard play then they are as good or better than anyone in the region.

Wonder if Pulaski will play the same tough schedule as the year before? Also, I’m curious to see the change in playing style. Should be an interesting year for the Maroons. I didn’t realize they brought back that many starters.

Serious question: Why has basketball been historically better than football? Also, why has administration shown so much loyalty to Coach Jackson and the basketball program and not the football? Rightfully so, Coach Jackson deserves everything. I’m just curious why football struggles mightily when basketball has been so good.

I think Levi Rodgers is the first call. Now, I’m not sure he would take it. The talent pool at Lincoln should be greater, and it should be a better job. But if administration has this reputation then why would you leave a job you are happy in, assuming he is. Another name to keep an eye on is long time Pulaski assistant Phil Russell. I noticed on Twitter Phil was not announced as part of the new staff. Phil has been a head coach at one point in his career, and may be up for the challenge if Rodgers turns Lincoln away.

I feel bad for Coach Jaggers. He left a good program to come home and try to put a resurgence in to Lincoln County Football. Next thing he knows, he is ran out after year two. I hope he lands somewhere in a couple years and makes Lincoln County regret this move for years to come.

Roberts has not been part of the staff for several years now. Previously he was the DC back when Pulaski when on their run. However, Roberts is well respected and thought highly of. I think he’s a great addition and very smart hire by Burns.
