Not one to usually hate on the trends but glad the double mouthpiece look will be gone with these changes.

The big key for them this year will be getting the ball into the hands of Morton, Delacy, and Cummins. They seemed to do a pretty good job with that last year but with the loss of your QB, leading rusher and leading receiver, this is the perfect opportunity for them to step up to the challenge. With a transfer QB who looks great, I'm interested to see the competition for that spot as well. Another kid I'm looking to have a big year is Wright. He has phenomenal speed and hustle and should be a big help as well.

1st year I see a 4, maybe 5 win season, but in the following year or 2 I see them back in the winning season ways.

I'm from the community and very well versed with both programs. I believe that East will be better than West and should have a great and competitive season from looking at their schedule. That group coming up has a lot of potential solid pieces. I just don't think they are at the level (praying I'm wrong) to compete with Ashland.

I agree with most of what you're saying except that East is very much a parallel move to West. A big reason for West being scheduled was because of Marsh's ties to Ashland. East barely beat out West (who was not very good this year either). It doesn't help Ashland's RPI. In no way will that be a beneficial game for either team. And this being a new cycle for most teams, it shouldn't have been that hard to find the competition.

Michigan has the benefit of having it indoor at Ford Field so the logistics would be slightly different. As soon as one game was over, the next 2 teams up were warming up while they did the post game presentations. They also have it where it is $20 for the whole day (4 games) and they don't clear out the stadium between games. $40 to watch 8 games is a steal.
