5A one the more harder classes to rank. Mixed schedules have made it a good debate in rankings. The playoffs about to be too much fun this year in 5A. Looking forward to seeing how Highlands finishes the seasons after being down for so long. And looking forward to seeing what Bowling does rest the season with all that young talent but experienced coaching.

I know at Frankfort High freshman guard Rajon Floyd has been gathering D-1 interest after a really good summer. What other 11th region kids have D-1 scholarships or interest?

JA’Hyde is only a junior and has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Indiana and Oklahoma to play WR

It’s still early but how much do we think experience amongst players and coaching will be a major factor come playoff time for these top 5/6 teams? This is the closest 4a has been in a while with no clear cut favorite.

How good is Woodford county? Know they’ve played more out of state competition so far.

Understand what you’re saying. But Can’t agree with that because Beachwood, Mayfield and Pikeville a lot years have had good teams and the depth to beat 5A and 6A teams

What did Ja’Hyde brown do for CAL? He had offers from Bama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Ole Miss coming into the season as a junior

I’d say Omari Jointer from Woodford Co be second best in the pre-season rankings. He missed rest the season from a Knee injury middle a Christmas tournament.

Never have and the offense has never produced in the passing game like many would think. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

As a top rated QB and If he was going to come to Lexington the best move would be Sayer to play and learn from Chad Pennington. But we all know if he comes it’ll be Douglas.

Hard to see and believe what Dunbar has fallen to. This has to be a big time hire similar to what Scott Co did to get kids to stay at Dunbar.As well as a coach willing to put in A LOT of work and time with a start from scratch program.

Promise yal Omari Jointer will get 20-30 shots a game next year and it won’t be “Team Ball” that they made Melo play. His dad and Cousin on the coaching staff will make sure of it.

Last few seasons kids who’ve transferred out of Woodford Co have pla way better at the new schools. Tyler Doyle at Lexington Catholic last 2 seasons. J.J. Jenkins at Fredrick Douglas this year. Santonio Wade at The Patrick School in New Jersey. Melo Boone transferred into Woodford this year and easily had his worse season in 4 years, a lot games no plays ran for him or even going stretches without touching the ball. Barely scoring 20 points since Lexington Catholic tourney. A WKU commit and a front Runner for Mr. Basketball beginning of the season had games he didn’t even take the most shots.

I want know how he didn’t play through Melo Boone way more after KOB.

Coaching matters. Once Woodford plays against teams who are organized and have scheme they look awful. Don’t understand how a former 4 year D-1 player at Pitt who’s coaching, doesn’t have any sets, offense system or can beat a zone and team looks lost when the game slows down. After the KOB Woodford didn’t play through their best player Melo Boone and I will never understand why.

Hard to put him over other guys who’s impacting winning teams.

The 6th vs 7th matchup being on the same side of the bracket most years is crazy. What potential first or second round matchups are everyone looking forward to?

If I’m right believe FD last 4 maybe 5 games they’ve trailed by more than 8 and climb back to win before losing to Clay. That district tourney will be crazy to see.

That Covid year for Collins I wanted see them and Male go head to head with all that talent on the floor.

If Levitch had the talent , athletes and teams Woodford has had the past 4 North Oldham 4 peats as region champs.
