Wild season for Woodford. A few folks in the 8th region thread picked Woodford to win it.

Maybe next year WOFO will come back with some plays to attack a 2-3 zone. Maybe!

Wow wow wow… Congrats to Spencer County. Very well coached team. Woodford underachieved with the talent they have.  

Coaching matters. Once Woodford plays against teams who are organized and have scheme they look awful. Don’t understand how a former 4 year D-1 player at Pitt who’s coaching, doesn’t have any sets, offense system or can beat a zone and team looks lost when the game slows down. After the KOB Woodford didn’t play through their best player Melo Boone and I will never understand why.

I want know how he didn’t play through Melo Boone way more after KOB.

Give some credit to the fighting Jason Burns'. They've won 4 of the last 5 against WOFO with less size and less athleticism every game. The kids trust the game plan and execute it!

The top of that 2-3 one was rotating like their hair was on fire.

From what I have seen in the past years is that Burns is a great coach especially when he has less talent but when he had those 3 studs several years ago if memory serves me correctly he only got out of the district once or twice in the 5 years he had those guys.

He had three studs last year and finished his season in Rupp Arena.

True he also had 3 for 5 years from 2017-2021 and he made the region 1 time and was beat in the first round of the district tournament 4 times and each time by a team they defeated in the regular season and 3 of the 4 times they won the regular season game by double digits.

Plus with those "3 Studs" when they were juniors in 2023 were again knocked out in the opening round of the district. People on here are talking about Brown's coaching in 2023 he lost in the state semifinals to the eventual state champion and I never read any post on here talking about his poor coaching skills.
