No I said the team that won the 8th region last year and lost to Great Crossing in the state tournament. Why did those guys in the 22-23 season when they were juniors, they all played a lot as the 22-23 team only had two seniors and only one played a lot and they lost in the 2023 district tournament in the first round at Woodford Co.

Your argument has no true context. You are jargling a bunch of losses and trying to blend them. I can't keep up with what you're saying due to you bouncing off so many different years.

The truth of the matter is that Spencer County is competitive year in and year out with teams that many don't see as a threat, in a school district without a rich basketball history, and a high school with just over 900 students. Let's compare this to Woodford County, which has one of (if not) the most talented rosters in the region year in and year out. They have over 1200 students in their school and go outside of that to fill their roster by grabbing transfers each year.

For the simple debate of coaching, I believe every unbiased soul that follows this region is taking Burns 100 times before Brown is even considered.

Woodford had Jasper Johnson two years ago and played 4 corner stall ball against North Oldham. They clearly can't figure it out. Not sure why Melo Boone's parents thought it was a good idea for him to

I agree 100% but the fact remains Spencer has been eliminated in the opening round of the district a fair amount when they have had good teams. I agree he is a very good coach but even good coaches lose games they should not lose and bad coaches lose even more of those.

Yes the 22-23 team lost in the 1st round as a one seed to the #12 ranked team in the state Collins by a couple of points.  What a horrible, humiliating loss (Sarcasm).

As far as the Conley era, I have no idea what your infatuation is with pointing out what you see as failures of that group.  Great kids who had a lot of success in high school, and have went on to be highly successful after high school.

It seems somewhat personal!

The 30th district is tough, and every year there is a team or two from that district that doesn't get to the region.

As mentioned by others, it happens. Especially in that district. They had good teams, but how many times have they lost to a team they were more talented than?

Rule 2 reads in part:

Last few seasons kids who’ve transferred out of Woodford Co have pla way better at the new schools.

Tyler Doyle at Lexington Catholic last 2 seasons.
J.J. Jenkins at Fredrick Douglas this year.
Santonio Wade at The Patrick School in New Jersey.
Melo Boone transferred into Woodford this year and easily had his worse season in 4 years, a lot games no plays ran for him or even going stretches without touching the ball. Barely scoring 20 points since Lexington Catholic tourney. A WKU commit and a front Runner for Mr. Basketball beginning of the season had games he didn’t even take the most shots.

Promise yal Omari Jointer will get 20-30 shots a game next year and it won’t be “Team Ball” that they made Melo play. His dad and Cousin on the coaching staff will make sure of it.
