  1. I like KP and really do want to see UofL succeed as it is good for college basketball as a whole when they are good (I don’t want them beating UK of course); but is there any coach who does less to help his case in post game interviews than KP? Take a page from Cal and just quit answering questions if you have to.
  2. Are we absolutely sure Auburn understood the rules and stuff?
  3. I agree completely. My concern in that is discipline is not a light switch that you can turn on and off; it is a product of the environment and that is a reflection of the coach. Brohm’s teams have always been disciplined while Stoops’ have not. I am a believer that undisciplined teams only win games when everything goes their way. When faced with adversity they fold like a lawn chair. UofL has shown their discipline this year. UK has not. I hope I am wrong. Go CATS!!
  4. Pulling for the CATS like always but I don’t think this is a happy ending for UK. UofL is a more disciplined better coached football team that has gotten better every single week. UK is the other side of that coin currently. I’m afraid for UK to win the Dirty Birds will have to help (turnovers, penalties, unforced errors) the Cats. I just don’t see Brohm’s team playing that way. Go Cats!
  5. Great game to watch. Missouri is a ton of fun to watch on offense.
  6. So is it fair to say that “Ponying Up” more donations is not the only thing we need to work on at this basketball school?
  7. Everyone in AAA might be playing for 2nd place. I thought with the schedule and athletes of Central this could be a game. Congrats to CAL
  8. Bleachers are not large on the home side. Maybe 8-12 rows from around 30-30 yard line. No visitor seating to speak of. Often times there are lawn chairs in scoreboard end zone. Safe travels.
  9. I really hope East can pull out a win but looking at what Lloyd Memorial has done throughout the season I’m not optimistic. East won the turnover battle 3-0 against Fleming and won 19-15. Lloyd won the turnover battle 1-0 and was on cruise control from the 2nd qtr on. Fleming out gained East 271-259 in total offense despite the 3 turnovers. (Per Fleming’s stats) Lloyd out gained Fleming 280-57 in total offense!! If both teams play well I’m afraid Lloyd might control the game.
  10. Ashland has athletes on offense that can compete with anyone in 4A. Up front on both offense and defense they are weak. Defensively overall they are weak. To me that will be the difference in this game. Cov Cath is the most well rounded football team Ashland has seen all year. Is be shocked if Cov Cath does not control the game even though I think Ashland will make some big explosive plays. Best of luck to both.
  11. I hate to hear this as I have always like KP. I thought he was a really good hire but you can’t deny for whatever reason he and UofL have not clicked. Although I bleed UK Blue I always pull for Louisville unless they are playing my Cats. College Basketball is better as a whole when UofL is cooking. If it is time to cut ties I hope UofL gets the next hire right and he runs the 2nd most successful program in the country.
  12. I was way off on my prediction. Congratulations to the Golden Eagles. After seeing some of their early scores (especially the Belfry score) I was convinced they couldn’t score enough to beat Ashland. Boy was I wrong. JC dominated the game from a physical standpoint. Ashland scored 33 points on 37 plays (crazy stat) but JC ran 60+ plays and Ashland had no answer. The onside kick was big but in the 1st half JC came up short on a 4th and 1 that the bottom ref had marked as a first down and the top ref had short. If not for that call not sure the game would have needed an onside kick. Ashland’s defense was a head scratcher tonight. Why did they shade their DT’a inside eye of OT? JC ran off tackle at will and washed down DT anytime they wanted. Ashland never got out of it or changed at all.
  13. Bad take. Pointing out clear deficiencies of a team does not make someone a bad fan. They may not be an ostrich with their head buried in the sand, but you can still support a team while keeping a realistic outlook. Stoops has done a really good job of raising the floor of a UK Football season. Now he has had help (weak out of conference, UofL slipping, and the SEC East was not as strong as years past until Kirby came to Georgia) but credit given where credit is due he has done his part. With that said he has still done very little to raise the ceiling of a UK Football season. We sell more tickets, better atmosphere, lots of preseason excitement but in the end we still hover around the same place by year end. 6, 7 wins with a chance at 8 when UofL is down and beating Vandy along with a couple of weaker SEC teams. There have been highs sure. But for every Gator Bowl there is also not covering a WR against FL. Winning at Tennessee and losing to Vandy. Can’t only remember the highs and not the lows (or vice-versa) I like Stoops and still think this team is talented but for whatever reason it has not clicked unless we are beating bad teams or Davis goes off. When looking at the schedule there are no more Ball State and Vandy. UofL is cooking with Brohm (will really make recruiting more difficult as well) and Tennessee and Alabama are more talented than us. Not saying we can’t beat them, but if we play like we have so far this season I don’t see how we defeat them unless they help us (turnovers and penalties). If being realistic makes me a bad fan then being a blindly loyal follower of Stoops should make you a bad fan as well. Go buy some more t-shirts since Stoops thinks that is what cost us the Georgia game.
  14. I don’t see more than 2 wins left on the schedule at best. I personally believe the only way UK wins 2 more is if Davis goes off and UK dominates the line of scrimmage on offense like the Florida game against South Carolina and Miss. St. Considering UK is little to no threat to stretch the field vertically I think the team’s remaining on the schedule will continue to play their safeties down hill and dare us to beat them throwing. Hope I am wrong and the Cats get it together. We as fans can keep a late season collapse like this from occurring in the future if we will just “Pony Up” (Sorry I just can’t let go of such a stupid comment)
  15. Pulling for JC as I never pull for Ashland, but I don’t think the Eagles can beat the Tomcats. If this one is close I think it will be because Ashland helps JC. I’m afraid it will be very one sided if both teams play well. Best of luck to both teams.
  16. It should. What has he ever accomplished to speak to a fan like that? Let alone the disrespect it throws toward Georgia. I like Stoops and he has made improvements at UK, but let’s be honest. He has raised the floor of a regular season. He has not done anything to get any closer to the ceiling than others before him (Mumme, Morris, & Brooks)
  17. If UK is going to compete recruiting wise with a National Juggernaut like Missouri we UK fans are going to have to “Pony Up”
  18. Pulling for the Cats but really worried about UK’s chances. I feel like you have to score points to beat Missouri and I’m not sure the Cats can being as they are so one dimensional on offense. I don’t think we will see a hangover from the Georgia game, I’m more afraid that UK has been exposed as what they really are. Average at best. Hope I’m wrong. Go CATS
  19. I voted Pikeville as I feel they will be a bit to physical for the Rams. I wouldn’t be shocked by a Raceland win, but I do feel like if both teams play well Pikeville probably wins by 2 scores. Good luck to both teams.
  20. JC may have been missing some key athletes but Belfry had their way offensively especially up front. Hard to imagine many teams in AAA will be as physical as Belfry when the playoffs roll around. Scores like this and the Pikeville game make me feel like JC’s best days may be behind them. Hard to believe that if a A and AAA school (even programs as great as Pikeville and Belfry) can physically control the game that you’re going to compete in AAAA for the big trophy.
  21. After this performance the biggest threat to Pikeville in A seems to be Pikeville. If they don’t help their opponent I’m not sure anyone in A can beat them.
  22. A hard hedge requires Oscar to re-direct the ball handler to go around him while Wallace fights over the screen. He will have to contain him while he attempts to redirect him. If he splits the screener’s feet as most young people are taught he will be sideways facing while Nowell attacks. That is a recipe for foul trouble and rolls to the basket with slow footed Oscar behind the offensive player (screener) with no rim protector.
  23. No he didn’t. He struggled hard hedging too. You just don’t want to accept it because it was Cal’s fault
