Final from Pond Creek. Pirates led 34-0 at one point. Injuries and Belfry's team speed too much for JC to overcome.

impressive win Belfry!

After seeing both last week this shocked me.
Was the multi-talented #5 back for Belfry?

JC may have been missing some key athletes but Belfry had their way offensively especially up front. 
 

Hard to imagine many teams in AAA will be as physical as Belfry when the playoffs roll around. 
 

Scores like this and the Pikeville game make me feel like JC’s best days may be behind them. Hard to believe that if a A and AAA school (even programs as great as Pikeville and Belfry) can physically control the game that you’re going to compete in AAAA for the big trophy.

That is the story of this game.  I know JC was missing some skill guys, but Belfry controlled the game up front in the trenches on both sides of the ball.  The OL had their way with JC's DL, but more impressively to me was the way the defensive front 7 really beat JC physically.  I think at the half JC had one first down.  

Like everyone else mentioned, this one really surprised me, especially after seeing JC play against Pikeville last week.

Trust me, it surprised me too.  I did have a former coach tell me this week he had seen JC and he thought Belfry would beat them.  But I was not ready to believe it, and nobody expected the margin.  Belfry was a missed 2 pt conversion from putting the running clock on, and that is just unfathomable. 

Wow.. I will take it!
