I think West Carter gives Beechwood a very competitive game up until late 3rd/early 4th quarter. The comets playing at home on their field gives them that advantage. The tigers will settle in late and pull away behind Hergott. Last night he looked almost untouchable. He continues to play like that the tigers will win this one, and surely be competitive regardless of who they play at state.

Is there any clear front runner? It’s hard to really sit here and say “yup that’s gotta be the guy who wins it.”

After their sluggish first half against Lloyd I think the playoff beast that is Beechwood has woken up. Mayfield being out of the picture opens their eyes a bit wider, it’s state finals or bust. Give me the Tigers in a blowout. Hergott is going to start pouring it on I think in the next couple of games.

I don’t think based off of RPI it is possible for them to meet prior, but I am thinking in my opinion that will be your state finals game, unless some miraculous happens.

As a Beechwood Tiger fan you want your toughest opponents out of the way, especially with Mayfield being ahead of us in RPI. But I see no way Mayfield loses this game. The winning tradition in the playoffs is engrained in all the minds of everyone that will be around or in this game. The Cards win this one.

I’d say this year you’d rather play mayfield than LCA.

So as a tiger fan you’re hoping Walton beats West Carter, and if that does happen do they still play LCA or somebody else?

Tigers by the same score as last time, if not worse. No disrespect to the Juggs, but BW is on another level. I don’t know if the Tigers will play in a competitive game until the Semifinals.

Do you think they still make it a war with LCA next week? I keep hearing of the rust and am curious how that game will play out!

I didn’t know that but that makes sense why the panthers struggled! If they can limit fumbles they will be looking at a positive outcome!

Ludlow wins this one again. This time I think by an even bigger margin. If I do recall the Panthers had multiple turnovers in the first match up. If they hold onto the ball they beat Dayton by 14.

I hope you’re right. I just don’t like saying we are better until we beat them. I do think among the top 3 nobody is head and shoulders over the other. It’ll come down to those 3, (LCA, Somerset, Beechwood) and if it doesn’t I’ll be surprised.

As long as Beechwood doesn’t see LCA or Somerset before or in the semifinals, then I like the Tigers odd to make it to the state championship game more than I did last year. I don’t see any team beating them other than LCA/Somerset/Mayfield (on an upset)

Not even going to try and wrap my head around who plays who with RPI in the playoffs. I will just watch and enjoy if we get that far. Hoping my Tigers from Ft. Mitchell get as smooth of a road as possible, but I’ll take any football we can get. I just can’t for the life of me understand RPI! Let the kids play is all I’ll say!

Would have to agree with this as well. I’m a biased Beechwood Tiger fan and even I will sit here and say, if we haven’t beaten them yet, we aren’t better. Until that day comes we aren’t in the top 2-3.

I’d assume due to being a red county for Covid. But I’m not exactly sure on the reasoning. Just my guess.

Don’t quote me but from a players mouth they have a possibility of playing a 6A school from NKY. I’ll let the week play out and see if what I heard is correct.

Pangallo goes in during their running clocks, but I don’t think he would be the quarterback if an emergency would happen. That’s not a knock towards Nazario, but I just think he wouldn’t be the QB if anything crazy happens. My guess is O’Shea. He warms up with QBs and played QB during JV games and started QB for freshman until he eventually got pulled up last year. I think Rash sees playing him in running clock time as just a risk as playing Cam. Not to mention O’Shea starts DT. That would be my guess.

Hergott is a big contributor to the offense. But I think they’d still be able to score points. Win? I’m not sure but I think they could score points definitely.

Every time we replace a player on offense I feel like the second string person is just as capable as the first string. You have to love that as a coach, and a spectator especially.
