Team defense hinders individual stats every time. Hard to lead in stats when you have 11 guys who fly to the ball and are capable of starting on just about every other team in the state. Not to mention I only see one team that has a legit chance at a state championship, and that’s Ryle.

Beechwood in my opinion has the best all around LB core in NKY and maybe the state. Austin Waddell, Mitchell Berger, Michael Hatfield, as your starters. With Bomani Hughes and Avery Courtney to fill in on specific packages or when somebody needs a breather. Without these kids playing in the middle of the field, tough to say beechwood would be nearly as good on that side of the ball.

I was informed of Brady Moore as well. He will be missed tremendously. He’s a ball hawk on both offense and defense. But as it’s been said by others. This roster is deep. We can still get the job done despite losing those players. If anyone is able to put together schemes and game plans to make up for the injuries, it’s the Beechwood coaching staff. I’ve not lost faith yet. I still believe they can win the whole thing.

Adam Gibbs, OL/DL with knee injury, Xavier Campbell was out last night but should be back next week, as far as I know that’s everyone right now.

Tough game to watch last night. I knew going in seeing multiple players from Newport in street clothes that it could and would get ugly early. It did. Lots of chippy play really from both sides. Really just want BW to get to the competitive part of this playoff run unscathed with injuries. That’s our biggest enemy right now. Kentucky needs to think if letting everyone in the playoffs is the right idea.

Completely agree with this one. Although it’s all speculation and hypothetical right now. 2A might bring the most competitive game. Would like to see it under the lights.

Sadly I just heard that it might be his ACL and done for the season. Hate to hear that for him. Tough kid. He will be missed.

He did get hurt. Looked to be ankle. Next two weeks we won’t really NEED him. So he will have plenty of time to rest.

Very much could’ve been. But the flag was called on NCC. So officially it wasn’t.

My guess is to ensure there’s no way to come back from the running clock. I’m never one to complain about the score. I’ve been on the end of both. If you’re better, you’re better. Why should you make your subs slow down? They deserve the reps too.

Backups were in the entire second half. They scored multiple touchdowns.

No kick to the head. I was at the 50. Right where it happened. Player was underneath #21 after getting blocked and held the BW player on top of him by his face mask. After separating he then shoved #21.

I’ve never been one to be upset about running score up. Going to sit there and kneel for the last 8 minutes? Let the JV guys get some reps. Which is what they did. Seems to be an excuse to me for how bad they put it on them.

A lot of comments about running the score up. Not many comments about the NCC player #11 throwing some punches and a shove while having a BW player #21 by the face mask. #54 from NCC bull rushing the PAT and clearly trying to cause something to #10 from beechwood. Act respectfully and get treated as such. Beechwood also can’t help that their second string is scoring at will on their 1st team Defense with some subs mixed in. This beechwood team is 63 points better than the breds. It’s that simple. Lick your wounds and good luck in the playoffs NCC.

Hope Mayfield and Murray get to meet again, as a Beechwood Fan, I’m kind of hoping the cardinals get to come up here so I can see them in person. At the same time seeing Murray win again would be a state wide shock I believe. You’d think there’s no way they can make it 3 in a row? Right?

In the grand scheme of things it didn’t cost the Tigers, but when I saw that call I was beyond shocked. One of the worst I’ve witnessed.

I can’t guess the score, but I am feeling the panthers pull this off. Got some confidence back after bullying the Green Devils and take the momentum into this week before playoffs start!

An ugly game to watch. Felt bad for BW this whole game having to deal with so many personalities. Hopefully he can right the ship.

After seeing the scores of both teams playing NCC I didn’t expect this big of a margin. I expected Ludlow to win a close one. Can the panthers get over the hump against the breds?
