Madisonville North Hopkins won its 14th seventh district championship in a row tonight. Got me thinking what is the longest active streak for winning a district?

For the final eight the state is ranked by RPI but it still split by east and west. At the final four where you are located does not matter. This was to safe from long travel during this round.

McCracken will go as far as their guard play the bigs are where they have an advantage over the rest of the region if the guards play well they will be hard to beat.

Some roster changes will mix this up. Region 2 is always interesting because in most years there is a log jam of teams that can succeed.

I think it will be South Warren vs Owensboro in the final so that is one. Paducah is up and down but if they are up they are hard to beat in 3A just like last week proved.

Brower in the first and Newton in the Second.

How many shots did Zion take, when they played Madisonville he 37 points on 37 shots. So in some cases we do not really know if they guys around him can make plays or at least knock down a shot when he has two and three on him.

Madisonville did not play very well but did enough to get a win. They hit ten three pointers and had scoring from 9 guys and their two leading scorers were not Casey or White. When everyone is scoring this team will be hard to beat because of their length and athleticism.

How long has it been that Region 2 is this weak as a whole, Madisonville is good enough to win state then the drop off is unbelievable.

I was just making conversation. I think as of right now the top 8 are pretty solid, most of the top teams play so everything will shake itself out.

High school rankings are really hard to do. There isn't a ranking system in sports that works that you have to beat the teams in front of you to move up.

So Madisonville beats number 8,9,13 in their first three games and doesnt move.....makes sense

Christian County is going to be a lot better than people thought. They have a young big man and good athletes to run Stovall's run and jump press.
