  1. It’s hard to beat anybody by 47 points in a 32-minute game with a running clock. The margin is what surprised me.
  2. North Bullitt was 13-4 entering the game, made the LIT, and took Oldham County to double overtime two weeks ago.
  3. Surprising. Did Anderson try something different on the defensive end tonight? They haven’t given up anywhere near 74 points all season.
  4. Final per @CENTURIONAD Twitter. Was Spencer County at full strength tonight? Game was at CAL.
  5. @JoshGphoto tweeted photos of the three officials from last night's game and suggested Woodford players were undercut 4-5 times, one causing the injury to Penn. Anyone who was there have the same take?
  6. Final. Surprised by the margin of victory in this one. Tough two nights for Shelby County.
  7. Sam Conley left for Spencer County after his 7th grade year. Big man Noah Gordon doesn't appear to be playing this year. Both juniors could have helped Shelby County. The Rockets last season above .500 was 2015-16 when they finished 16-14 under Jason Couch. How much has redistricting / Collins hurt Shelby County?
  8. South missed a lot of easy shots in the first half, and missed over half of their free throws. Both keys to South’s loss. Like the South-Collins game, refs really let them play tonight.
  9. I have a feeling the North Oldham fans would tell you Justin Powell is the most indispensable player in the region based on their record without him.
  10. B-Ball-fan, perhaps Shawnee's games were against out of state opponents . . . so those stats shouldn't count anyway!
  11. McKnight played a much better second half than first. He had one point and several uncharacteristic turnovers in the first half. I’d guess McKnight had around 5 assists and 7-8 rebounds, but my sense was that Morrison had a much better overall game tonight. POY should be a “body of work” award and not based on one night. I just think that Morrison may have narrowed the gap with his performance tonight. Scoring 30 on a very tough Collins defense is impressive.
  12. Luke Morrison made a strong case for his POY candidacy tonight in a head-to-head matchup up against Dayvion McNight and Collins. Even though South lost, Morrison outplayed McNight all game. Morrison finished with about 30 points and McNight with around 8 or so.
  13. Morrison outplaying McKnight big time in the first half. McKnight may have more turnovers than points at halftime.
  14. Thanks ColonelMike. I would think South's Simpson would have a solid advantage over Zerhusen and Levitch in a game of canasta!
  15. What’s the tiebreaker if all three Oldham’s finish 2-1 in district play? The winner of the South - OC game?
  16. If Collins approaches tomorrow's game like they did Friday night against Spencer, it could be a long night for the Dragons. I don't anticipate that margin of victory, however. It should be a much closer game. South's style is more difficult for teams to prepare for.
  17. South won at Collins last year 68-62. Collins should be favored here, but don’t count the Dragons and Steve Simpson out, especially at home.
  18. How many players saw the court for North Oldham? With injuries their lack of depth could hurt them as the season wears on.
  19. Referees should move a student section back if it’s a problem. I’ve seen that done many times.
  20. Thanks for the updates. Must have been some good halftime adjustments by Klein, or Male just cooled off.
  21. Here we go . . . Bears pull the upset, winning on a last second dunk by Sam Conley over Dayvion McKnight on an assist from Jake Whitlock. Following the game Conley is automatically declared 8th region player of the year for both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. The Spencer County judge executive calls an emergency meeting to commission a bronze statue of Conley on the courthouse lawn. Sorry, got carried away for a minute thinking I was Cardsrule1972 . . . I'll go with Collins by 4 in a low-scoring defensive battle.
  22. Lewis Richards didn’t play for Ballard. Wrist issue.
  23. Per the Frankfort State Journal website, Hardin had 31 points for Henry County. Western Hills let by 6 going into the 4th quarter.
  24. St. X travels to Male tomorrow to take on the Bulldogs in a district contest. Seeding may be a little more important this year as Collegiate poses a tougher challenge than normal. I assume St. X fans are confident after their hot start and win over Trinity. Can the Tigers pull an upset over Male?
  25. Do you know if Hardin played for Henry County last night? I expect not given the margin of defeat.
