Who: DeSales (13-8) at South Oldham (18-7, pending game vs. Lafayette on 2/8)

When: Monday, 2/10/2020

Time: Tipoff 7:30 pm ET

Where: South Oldham HS; Crestwood, KY

Broadcast: Live video coverage begins 7 pm ET The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN

This should be a great ballgame between two very good teams. Both squads have had good seasons....DeSales has been very impressive at times, winning games over powerhouses like Buler and Collins, and losing by just 2 to Seneca and 4 to Elizabethtown.... South Oldham beat Warren Central and slammed LaRue County by 23 points (their worst loss of the season), while falling to Collins by just 1 and Oldham County by just 5.

For South, the Big 2 are the driving force. Defending 8th Region Player of the Year Luke Morrison, a 6'5" senior guard, is having a great senior season, averaging 20.3 ppg; he's hit 67 threes. Backcourt senior running mate Seth Johnson is 18.8 ppg and a team-high 7 rebounds.

South is hitting just a tick over 50% from the field, and has hit 267 threes on the year. What's amazing is South is hitting over 50% from the floor despite shooting nearly half their shots from beyond the arc. At the line, South is hitting over 72%.

Sekou Kalle leads DeSales with a double-double at 14.8 ppg / 10.8 rebounds; he has company in double digits scoring as Keith Robinson averages 13.1 and Logan Lautzenheiser 11.5.

DeSales shoots 47% from the floor; the Colts don't rely on the three point shot as much as South; the Colts have only attempted 49 more threes (316) than South has made (267).

Live video coverage begins at 7 pm ET on The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN.

Big challenge for South will be the 6'8" Sekou Kalle. How South fares against him defensively may well tell the tale.

Fast paced first period. South's Luke Morrison steals a pass just before the end of the first quarter and gets the layup at the buzzer.
