Actually in the 90's when Wheelwright and McDowell high school's combined to make South Floyd they talked about using the name "Miners" which makes sense and brings out a lot of pride in what eastern Kentucky is about...but the name "miners" wasn't cool enough and they voted for Raiders. Again...I think they should reconsider the name Jaguars and take on the name of Miners...use a lot of UTEP's logo stuff.

I wonder who is feeling the pressure the most...Trinity or Male? Trinity is the higher ranked team and may feel the pressure to live up to the hype ...or Male because they had let so many State opportunities pass them by and now they may feel like they need to win this one to make a statement. What are your thoughts on this?

How do they have proof that Taylor was filming the scrimmage? Just curious....KHSAA never saw the film.

True but the strength of schedule isn't what the other top 25 teams are...so even with more wins will it justify a move in rankings.

Can they climb any higher? It's not like they are playing the same schedule as they did in 2011 or even last year. But congrats to them...well deserved I'm sure.

As many people on this board has said...only thing that will hinder Trinity is complacency and/or injuries. Male and X are the 2 true teams left on their schedule that will truly test Trinity. Lafayette will put up a fight but I don't think they are in the same league as the Rocks. Good luck to both teams this Friday...pray for an injury free game.

When Trinity beats Male then they should be given the edge...until then there is no reason to move anything.

As most coaches know...its all about the little details. Central Hardin will be fine...iron sharpens iron. Both teams will be better because of this game.

Well that could happen to any team Boyle County plays...they have a great staff and a legendary Head Coach. Just saying.

They way every one is talking, SK better beat everyone on their schedule by 30 and win the state championship in a blowout....any thing less is an underachievement.

Such a tragedy....I hate to hear about young man dying like this...may God be with his family in their time of need.

Scrimmages can be up to 3 hours...Ive never liked the EKC grid for that reason...it limits the teams on their time...in which in this case the JV and frosh suffer.
