  1. I watched Ryle play CovCath, and if the Raiders beat the Birds, Highlands is in a mess of trouble. I'm firmly on the NO bandwagon, Highlands will not lose another game before they play the Colonels.
  2. I know far more about Kettering Alter than I do Belfry, to be honest, so let me say that up front. Alter is a REALLY GOOD mid-size program, and certainly will afford themselves as a great challenge to the Pirates. Last time I spent any time watching / following Belfry they were HUGE up front and rather one-dimensional. If that is still the case, I'd think they will struggle with Alter mightily. However, if they are two-dimensional on offense, and keep Alter's athletes off balance in terms of play calling, they should be able to hang in there. You'll be in for a test, I can assure you that, Alter is very, very solid, well coached, athletic, and fundamentally sound.
  3. This is my key as well, I think CovCath's front 7 will be in the backfield all night and the outstanding QB will find it very difficult to ever get his feet set to deliver one of his patented dimes. His skill is not in question, but even the greatest need a little time to operate an offense. Felix will have a big day on the ground and the QB will use play-action to find some big plays to Mayer and others. Something along the lines of 42-14, and I think CovCath causes at least 3 turnovers. Heck, I'll even go out on a limb and call for one pick-six.
  4. Not a great Moeller team by any means, I will be shocked if the Rocks are tested.
  5. So early in the year, I'm going off this very complex formula: if East Central was playing SK tomorrow, I'd take S.K., ergo, since the Trojans drilled Oak Hills, I'll take Simon Kenton. Although, in the back of my mind, is my buddy's son's quote who plays for Anderson, "they were slower than I expected." That makes me nervous, but I'll stick with the Neers.
  6. Ryle's field / complex looks much nicer in person than it does in this picture. Not for nothing, just an observation.
  7. Cincinnati -- 21 Ohio State -- 34 Ha, sorry @gametime, I posted this before reading the thread. Well, suffice it to say, I agree with you. Ohio State by about 11 points, and the total around 55, hence, the score above.
  8. 5 -- LSU 3 -- Clemson 3 -- Ole Miss 1 -- USC 1 -- Nebraska 1 -- Tennessee 1 -- Miami (FL) 1 -- Maryland 1 -- Purdue 1 -- FIU TB -- 54
  9. I officially hate Bryan Station's 34 yard logo at midfield.
  10. 1. You really feel the need to "prove" that Trinity is the most dominant program in KY history? 2. I enjoyed something in your post more than I should have. 3. Trinity's history has nothing to do with whether or not you'd beat another team this year. 4. Hypothetical arguments about who'd win a game that won't be played is as close to ridiculous and worthless as any argument can be. 5. However...this year's Trinity team would curb-stomp this year's CovCath team.
  11. Thank goodness I made a few bucks last night thanks to UL, but otherwise, everything that could go wrong, did. Let's all be honest, that Auburn / Oregon game SHOULD HAVE gone the other way. That was a colossal meltdown by the Ducks. Oh well, it is a marathon, not a sprint. :smug: Also, Florida State, are you serious!?!?!
  12. As I said elsewhere, Anderson is far from an Ohio power, they consider themselves way down this year, and they will be fortunate to go 6-4 (and more likely to go 5-5). I'm shocked by this score, to be sure, and I don't think it bodes will for SK this year.
  13. I mentioned in the Soccerama thread before the season how impressed I was with the back 4 for Conner. Fast, tough-minded, and really scrappy -- you're right, they are going to give a lot of teams fits.
  14. UCLA's QB was so much worse than he has been sold. I mean, dude just dropped the ball twice, and was incredibly inaccurate. Chip Kelly can't find a better dude than that? Also thought that was a fumble and scoop and score, but congrats to UC and their fans on the win. 1-0 and off to Columbus.
  15. Welcome to the site! I also gave you a follow on Twitter, so I look forward to following along with your work from that medium as well. Glad you joined, I've really enjoyed my relatively short time here.
  16. Huge movement this week in the Total for this game. Opened at 65, but now down to 57. UC -2.5 is still holding after falling from the opening line of UC -4.5. I still think UCLA wins by about 4, I think a UC win would be a lot of fun. I'm really intrigued by the total moving that much, especially given the forecast for the game is PERFECT.
  17. I don't think I've eaten dessert in a restaurant in 10+ years, just not my thing, if still hungry or hankering for something sweet after a meal, we'll stop and get milkshakes on the way home. However, so I can try and participate, the three desserts that jump out at me from memory (well, two from memory and one that my kids LOVE and beg for): 1. The strawberry pie at Frisch's 2. The key lime pie at the old Brass Lantern in Aurora, KY 3. My kids choice, bar none: the deep fried doughnuts at Smoky Bones.
  18. I don't know much, but I do know that I saw a few members of Conner's football team at the CovCath vs Ryle game on Friday night, so I have to assume that Conner played a different day.
  19. So Randy Parker and I are the only two that think UL will cover the 19 point line? Hmm, I wish I had better company, but oh well. :bunny:
