I think that is is more to the story than anyone knows. Was he gonna get a fair shot at Highlands this year? The choice to leave Highlands and go to SG probably wasnt easy but the family made it for some reason so we should just accept it and wish him luck

Coach Souder is a great fit for just about any program.

Heard a few chose not to return to the program due to the coaching change.

That is very true but winning at the JV and Freshmen levels builds the foundation for Varsity. Whatever the case, I wish NDA and the rest of Northern Ky a great season.

Dont know the whole story and honestly dont care. He is back at Newport and will help the team whether Snapp makes him sit out a few games or not. Newport is one of the top 4 teams with him and top 10 without him.

If you truly follow girls high school basketball in Northern Ky then you know the answer to that.

If this is true, Newport is probably the favorite to win the region All- A and be a strong contender to win the region title. They are obvious behind Cov Cath and slightly behind Cooper but I dont see anyone else better than them.

Campbell Co will be better than Boone Co this year but no where near better than Dixie. Campbell loss alot of scoring and their JV was not that good. Dixie has a good team and they bring back Reinhart. They will be nice.

Wyatt Vieth - St. Henry is a beast. I expect him to pick up a few offers this year.

He got an opportunity to coach college basketball.

The Ryle-Pickerington Central game will be a good game. Interesting to see Roger Bacon-Highlands because of the connection between the 2 schools (assistant coach at Roger Bacon, was an assistant at Highlands)

Seen Harding working out with the guys from Newport but I know he is gone. Miller, McGuire and White will absolutely put up big numbers for the Wildcats but with no post player, its gonna be hard for the the Wildcats to make a big run. I think they will make it out of the district but matching up with Cov Cath and Cooper will be an issue.

Carr will get those kids together. They are probably a year away from going back to the region tournament but they will surprise some teams.

I was told that Newport has hired a coach. Not sure of the name of the coach but my source says she is a teacher at the school and this is her first Varsity job.

Ive said this before and I will say it again, if Mya can buy into the coach and system at Scott, they will be dangerously good. If she doesn't, she could disrupt the chemistry of the team. I see them as a major player for the region champion but I can also see them losing in the first round of the region.

With practice scheduled to began in 12 days, did Newport hire a coach yet?

I dont know if SK will make it out of the region this year. Ally did alot for this program over the years and her absence will be missed. Not saying they cannot make it out but the road will be that much harder.

This is not a big shock. Numbers are extremely low and talented players don't want to stay in the district. Somebody will take the job and do a great job but it will take some work.
