Yeah....that game down there showed a lot about their program. I was really shocked that the teams did the post game handshake deal. That got totally out of control a couple years ago.

Penn State insider tells me Manny Diaz is really well liked and highly regarded in Happy Valley. The loss to GaTech today probably dimmed that a bit.

My neighbor in SC is a Penn State grad( son of a professor), grew up in State College, and is still a season ticket holder. He is very close with some people who are very involved with the program (donors). He told me this summer that many folks were tired of Franklin and unless he did something really big, it wouldn't surprise him if he was out. He got that one.

Can't believe that when all of these comparisons are made no one has addressed public vs private. Usually most of the top programs in Ohio's biggest class are private? I know Akron Hoban, Anderson, Mentor, Massillon Washington etc are very good but it always seems many of the private schools are right there.

Cooper may start a little slow because of the off week, but they have too many weapons on both sides of the ball for Scott.

Man, I'm glad I didn't have to sit through films with a coach like you lol! 8-0, running clock, and you vacillate between a C and a B. As far as those false starts, have you watched the Bengals or other NFL teams this year?

For Coach Rash to step into this situation to honor his friendship with another coach and try to help these kids get through a really difficult situation tells me more about his legacy than anything he previously accomplished. I believe Tom Spritzky also is helping them. I don't think those guys are looking to get back to the grind but to be there for those kids and that school.

When Jared Lorenzen and Derek Smith played freshman at Highlands that was rather impressive. They had some really good players in that group. Was the referee in one of their first games. Lorenzen dropped to his left hash at the 40 , threw one, and I heard the whistle blow and saw my HL signal TD. After the XP I asked him where the receiver caught the ball ......right sideline at the 5!! When I got home I told my wife I just saw a few things (I could post a lot more) that I never witnessed at that level. Told her they should win state championships for the next three years.... almost did.

Highlands is now in 4A.....and that class is pretty deep too.

I would think Sanchez may be looking for a new job and that the 69 year old grease truck driver may be announcing his retirement after the financial settlement. Heard today Sanchez was running sprints(at 1 am) and asked the guy to move his truck. The guy refused and Sanchez tried to convince him to do so physically. You can't make this type of stuff up, correct?

I think Coen is trying to get him to check to another play and the process just takes too long. I think this is their third coaching staff in Lawrence's time(5 years?) and eventually he will be smoother. He's a pretty tough guy. That last TD he scored was a classic!
