The size and numbers are very similar for both Trinity, and Saint Xavier’s freshmen class in football. Like last year, they both pass the look test. Last year, Saint Xavier Had both the numbers and the look. Result, the Rocks blew them out twice. Interested to see if the same holds true this year.

Trinity’s field goal kicker was out with a pulled leg muscle. A Trinity soph was tasked with kicking. He felt the mounting pressure and missed several kicks during the game. The sad thing is, the starting kicker could have played. Lampley was over cautious and held the young man out of the game.

Should have stuck with the big 10 school.

Holy Cross will continue a sure slide to oblivion. In several years they will not have the numbers to even field a football team. I doubt at this point they even have 100 boys enrolled in school. For years i have wondered how they even keep the doors open.

A decent rivalry years ago was Bishop David H.S. And DeSales. Then,for a few years the Colts vs Holy Cross. In a very few years i don’t see Holy Cross even able to field a football team. The school is tiny and getting smaller by the year. The rivalry i enjoy is, DeSales vs Louisville Christian Academy. This is a new rivalry but a very intense Rivalry.

The big rivalry back in the day among catholic high schools was Saint Xavier vs Flaget. Not Trinity vs Flaget. Trinity did not reach their full potential until Flaget High school closed. Most Flaget people then threw their support to Trinity. The first several head coaches at Trinity were former Braves.

I was looking forward to Trinity stringing together back to back classes the caliber of last years class. Several years ago X put together a great class of football players in their frosh class. I believe those young tigers are either juniors or seniors now.

What teams in Jefferson county got the majority of the incoming talent in the freshmen class ? Give me some predictions on how Male will do ? How Trinity fared with their 9th grade group ? How do the people on Poplar Level Road feel about how their new coach did attracting talent to the Tiger program ? And include Manual,and DeSales. Last year Trinity had one of their best teams ever.

Moore improved by leaps and bounds last year. The secret to the turnaround, a caring and committed football staff, and a group of players who bought right into the system. Look for some additional improvement this coming year.

This hire will prove to be a bust. The hire they should have made was coach Todd Walsh. Outsiders never do well coaching at Saint Xavier.

Since the inception of CAL, they have improved by leaps and bounds. I remember an interview from years ago, where CAL stated one of their long term goals was to compete with Trinity, and Saint Xavier high school. CAL should start scheduling Trinity and Saint Xavier on the freshmen level, then go on from there. I would love to hear from the CAL fans as to, if this is still a goal of the program ?

They need to get a little more aggressive when it comes to scheduling.

Back in the sixties Fort Knox used to be very, very good. What has happened to this once fine program. What is different now, than it was back in the day.

Why did Carr leave ? And where did he go ? Seems like an odd move going into his senior year.

You know i am talking about louisville ky Saint Xavier don’t you ? Louisville Trinity played by far the toughest schedule in Kentucky as well in the tri- state area. Trinity For the last 20 years has scheduled the toughest teams in the regional area. In that same period of time, Saint Xavier might have two tough teams on their schedule.

If Saint Xavier wants to run with the big dogs, they need a serious upgrade to their football schedule.

Going into the last event in 2017 in which Trinity was heavily favored,and had they won would have won the team championship. Instead they called off the track meet prior to the last event due to inclement weather and awarded the championship to the team that was leading in points at that point. Trinity to my great disappointment just left things the way they were. No protest or other legal action to force the KHSAA to hold the last event.

Congrats Trinity Shamrocks. At least this year the KHSAA didn’t find a way to cheat you out of a championship like they did last year. What went on last year should not have been allowed.

He will be 27 years old in August of this year.

Low numbers will dictate if they can even field a team.

I will go with Boyle County by 14 points. Ballard always underperforms no matter their talent level.

The one thing i would like to see in the championship is a best 2 out of 3.

Any word how the 2 incoming freshmen classes stack up. Saint Xavier’s and Trinity’s. The Sivori young man is what relation to Chip Sivori ? Where did Chip play ? I have forgotten.
