I predicted this back in oct, and was called out for being out of my mind for entertaining such a notion.my sources prove true once again.

If i had been Larry just, i would have said the heck with it. Split up the teams and held a scrimmage with coaches present on the floor for instruction. This game accomplished nothing for either team.

I hope Navy is recruiting this young man. He definitely sounds like the type of young man our military academies are seeking.

I believe that Trinity High School May be a bit overrated as well.

Anyone care to hazard a quess as to what the catholic high school football coaches are paid in Jefferson county Kentucky. I know they try and keep this information pretty close to the vest.I imagine the Saint Xavier football coach, and the Trinity football coach are paid a nice coaching salary.

What if the best player at DeSales decided to stay at Trinity and Rondale Moore decided to play basketball at Trinity. Now, that would have been some team when added to what Trinity already has.

Too bad Rondale Moore elected not to play basketball after he entered Trinity high school. He is an outstanding basketball player, and was a member of the state champion team at New Albany high school. The Trinity basketball team, sure could use him to good result.

Trinity could sure use Rondale Moore. Hate to see an outstanding basketball player give up the game.

I am somewhat surprised by this outcome.

The Rocks could use Rondale Moore. He is also a great basketball player. He was on the New Albany basketball team that won state.

Sports fan, i believe trinity is heads and shoulders better than X in basketball. As a matter of fact, i think Trinity is also way ahead in basketball wins in the series of games played against Saint Xavier.

Whatever they are paid, it is not enough.

Tigercat, i didn’t say he transferred. I said they were both from New Albany.

Not only that but kiesler’s sister is the best basketball and volleyball player at assumption. Can you imagine if all the southern Indiana athletes instead of crossing the river stayed home and played at Providence. Providence would have won several state titles in both basketball and football.

What if the X basketball team had both of the New Albany boys together from Indiana. Kiesler who i believe went to holy family in New Albany and Rondale Moore. People may not know that Rondale is an outstanding basketball player. He was on the state champion New Albany Basketball team. I wish he had decided to play basketball as well as football at Trinity High School, both teams getting a lot of mileage from the sunny side of the river.

Speaking of state of the program. Any word on what the incoming freshman classes look like for each school. If Trinity matches this year’s group with another group like it, i don’t see Saint X winning against Trinity for another 4 years. Saint X has their best shot at beating Trinity next year. I would rate next year a toss up.

We used to hear the same noise out of Highlands. Trinity shut that noise up when they started playing Highlands in game type scrimmages. They were always blow outs in favor of Trinity. Same would happen with Covington Catholic. Trinity would win by 3-4 touchdowns most if not every year.

Older coach, your analysis is right on target. The Trinity quarterback is not even close to being a Div1 quarterback.

Tiger pride, next year, and the year after should be very good years for the Saint Xavier football program. Their JV team destroyed the Trinity JV’s twice last year. As far as the coaching move that brought coach Wolford in, a big mistake in my opinion. The program spent his first three years in turmoil. Both asst coaches and certain players never measured up to expectations.

To be accurate the current Saint X coach is 1-8 against Trinity.

Both schools have had their fair share of basketball players and football players from both new Albany, and jeffersonville Indiana. A few from the knobs have attended Saint Xavier high school.

You pose an interesting question. If Saint Xavier had Rondale Moore would they have won today. It is for sure it would have been much closer, but i think Trinity still wins by 3 points. Rondale could not have run on Trinity’s defense like he did against Saint Xavier’s. The Saint X quarterback would not have delivered the ball as effectively as the Trinity quarterback.
