I watched UHA earlier this year and they seemed a bit small. And it didn't appear like they had a lot of depth. I made a comment about their depth in another thread. After Tandy and Hollowell could you expound on the rest of the depth of the team. I don't know if anyone will be able to guard Tandy this year, he might be the best in the state this year.

PRP and Mercer might be a bit high at the top. I know Trevon is a beast but after him and the QB, I don't know how much they have to be ranked #8. I know UHA is getting a lot of love but I watched them at the Next up recruits scrimmage and Tandy is the real deal, but after him the drop off is really big. Butler definitely should be in the top 20; maybe even top 10 to 15 good. They play really well together and understand their roles on the team. I know we all are in love with Fern Creek, Trinity and Cov Cath, etc. etc. I would just say that a new year brings a new team....a lot of these guys are seniors now and some of these guys are still playing for a free college education.....that always brings chemistry issues into play.

I wish him the best, I was wondering about the reclassification issue. I know he initially reclassed to the 2019 class at Aspire. Does he now go back to 2018 class since enrolling at Hoptown

Bucket list....attend the Cov Cath and Cooper game this year. As much as everyone on BGP talks about these two teams, it is a must watch this year.

Some of the most shady and seedy things I've seen this past year involved AAU basketball and Prep Schools. I just think it's very sad the lengths adults will go through to exploit these kids. And I don't wanna hear all this "we only do it for the kids crap; because it's just a bunch of crap".......you do it for financial benefit and gain.

Quaezhan Charlton actually transferred from John Hardin. The kid is tough as nails, doesn't really have a position right now on the offensive end (doesn't mean he can't score though). He can play the 2 I think. His calling card is his defense. He will help Central out tremendously if he can crack the "incoming transfer hurdle". We miss him daily as he was set to be a big part of our team this year.

BG will always have athletes no question. I feel like a lot of success from BG over the past couple of years were directly due to Jones and Taylors physical presence. When you started to add skill players around those two it created a problem for teams to deal with. With those two being gone and some other departures, I think it's fair to say that the pack has caught up to BG this year. And Potter being POY material probably does put Warren Central as the favorite

I only saw three of the games on Saturday but: Univ Heights vs Central- UHA has really good guard play of course but they seemed very small on the inside. Tandy is the real deal, couple that with the younger Hollowell and the other guard (name escapes me) and they make a very solid 1,2,3 punch. Other than those 3 I don't know if they will make a run at Rupp. Doss at John Hardin-Doss will be a solid team; their region is just so dang tough though. Taye Calloway gives Franklin a shooter in the back court. They were very physical as is the case with most L'ville teams. They have some solid pieces. I was told that the football players just returned to the team after Friday's loss as well. John Hardin is solid. Mickey played really well; I think he had a chance to show some of his versatility. Malik Wright and Witherspoon also played well. Wright and Pearson had a couple of nice dunks. Malik is hungry and sometimes that can lead to poor decisions as shot selection goes, but the kid plays hard all the time. They looked to be still trying to figure each other out a bit. TC at Waggener- I was most impressed with Waggener I think; and this was without one of their studs. TC played without their starting PG, I don't know if he was injured or not. Trey Smith is legit, he should have a big year. Maze is gonna do what he does and that is put 4 guards on the court and slow the game down and force you to defend the entire court. They will be the typical Stallworth team...tough and heady.

Yep, anything Dontaie Allen turns 10th region folks on their heads....same thing with the 9th, any Kunkel and CJ Frederick mentions and they go crazy as well

Is he the young man that injured his ankle against JH last year? I'm trying to remember him on the team. Regardless, the Coach is very good and he will have them ready come beginning of the season.

Etown will have a good group this year. Harding is a good a anyone in the region. This group has been together since they were freshman. They are seasoned and talented....I look for them to give JH all they want for the district title.

I don't have any info on the exchange student. I have heard that he is enrolled however. I don't know his skill set or size or anything. Larue will be good this year, they had a very good freshman class a couple of years ago so it's about their time to start contributing.

I saw him on the AAU circuit a couple of times this year; he seemed pretty solid to me. Nothing wows you but he played very solid against some pretty good competition. Size matters also.

I agree. Kinda early to have an opinion, but man something just doesn't seem quite right.

Congrats to Mickey. A great basketball player but an even better person. Coach Ford is getting a tremendous young man, his actions off the court will forever be more impactful than anything he will accomplish on the basketball court. Good luck to you young man.

Danny is very underrated. He is a very good bball player. I think that's the right spot for him
