I don't even know why it matters....the kid can play, if people are upset about his age it's their problem....btw, he played and performed well against the best 17 and 18 year old kids in the country this summer. Can't wait to see him in the region this year....good luck on the season

AAU is a necessary evil. It serves a purpose and when remotely operated correctly, it will provide an atmosphere unlike anything KY basketball can provide. No amount of stress level or rival game can prepare a kid for playing the top competition in the country in front of the biggest names in coaching in the country. If you have a kid that you think will be playing next level basketball, you need to find them an AAU program to grow up with so they can become comfortable with the coaches in the program and so the coaches can better understand that kids skill set as to put them in the best position to succeed in front of college coaches. If KY basketball embraced AAU more and some of the good coaches in the state were allowed to help these programs, the state would fair much better as it measures up talent wise against other states. High school basketball also serves a purpose. It develops teamwork and creates a bond that you don't get with AAU. You represent your community and try to win championships, but it alone won't get you to the bigger colleges. College coaches will never know anything about you.

It was early on, he was still finding his way and fit on the team. He's not a great shooter but the misconception is that he can't shoot. He is the most atletic kid in the region. Again may not equal to wins.

Darius is my guy. I can see the debate for him. As for Harmon being better than Pearson, I think most would be surprised at his skill set....I think we'll get a head to head matchup with AC and JH during the season and find out

Mark this down...Malik Wright is the 2nd or third best player in the region....don't know if it's gonna translate to more wins gor JH but he is right behind Pearson.

The little bit that I've seen: they have lots of speed at the skill positions. I don't know how good the o line and d lines are. They held North Hardin to 1 td (North got a late garbage score), so the defense is probably pretty good. Of course the wing t is hitting on all it's cylinders. One thing you can bank on is they are well coached. Coach Brown has that machine rolling right now. State Champs- I don't know, but they will be a tough out for most.

Dontaie's recruiting will pick up a lot. He like some other kids in the state started slow this past AAU season with maybe not picking the correct team to begin with. He is a stud, and he deserves to be mentioned in the same breathe as the top 2 or 3 2019 kids in the state. I wish him and his family well....keep grindin young bull.

The big guy needs to take his craft a little bit more serious. Right now he is doing a lot of running side to side as opposed to north and south. I hope he runs hard on Friday because this team desperately needs him to play well.

I think the bigger take from this is if you are a Boyle County fan is that North Hardin is not a good team by any stretch, neither is John Hardin this year. Not to burst any bubble from the Rebels because they are a darn good football team. North Hardin internally is in shambles right now. BUT the Rebels did what they were supposed to do and that is dominate this game. They are a very good team (I've seen them up close and personal)...lol

Curious as to why you didn't include Mickey Pearson in your top 15...he holds over 20 Div 1 offers. 6'8 long athletic wing that can shoot and handle ball real well. He can score on all 3 levels. If not for one of his AAU coaches the kid would probably have many more high D1 offers. I think it's a travesty the least amount of respect this kid gets in the state. He is probably one of a few and only few in the state with a realistic shot of playing professionally due to his size and skill set. If you have seen everyone play as you say you have clearly you would think he is in the top 15 players in the state. Trey Hill is a 2018 kid, and probably had the worst spring/summer of any of the preseason breakout kids. Adam Kunkel didn't struggle in the spring, as a matter of fact the kid played his butt off. If you are going by the Adidas online stats you would be mistaken, not all of the game stats are recorded and many times they are reported incorrectly. Jay Scruggs is in the top 5 players in the state (enough said).

I'm convinced that on BGP; if you're not from Louisville, Lexington or Northern Kentucky you must not be able to play bball.

The dogs are still trying to find their identity on offense and defense. They just don't have a good enough QB on the roster to compete with decent teams this year. This game could get real ugly

It's a rivalry game and anything could happen. I didn't get a chance to watch John last week but the two games that I watched they are making strides. Their skill positions are top notch and are as good as any in the area. Offensive line is the major glaring weakness with this group. If Central's strength is the d line then this could be a long night for the dogs.

In a nutshell, North Hardin has the enrollment numbers and the talent to compete better. This is coming from a John Hardin fan. When your enrollment tops out at over 1500 kids which they typically do (I don't have the exact numbers this year) you should compete better state wide. As for the composure statement many of JH players complained about late hits, alligator rolls at the end of tackles and overall dirty play against North last week. JH just happened to be the last to retaliate. This isn't a bitter statement from a sore loser; I think North deserved to win the game and they played their butts off to do it against John. With all that being said, ETOWN is loaded this year and the biggest reason is Coach Brown. You can see his footprint all over this team. THIS is why JH dominated the scene when he was their coach. North should not lose to ETOWN 50-14, with a late garbage score at the end of the game against the JV.

He is a very special young man...he loves basketball very much and Coach I think you should be commended for supporting his dreams to play bball. Football is a very different animal and I'm sure you can speak to that. If your heart isn't into football, then you shouldn't probably try and play it at the next level. It is a brutal and demanding sport, but it is so worth it. Again congrats to Tre and Sidney and his entire family. NKU is getting a steal in my opinion.

7 Footers don't grow on trees in KY. He moves well enough to play at the high D1 level as well. There's about 4 to 5 names that could be sprinkled into this list without debate.

Their solid though...they have a good collection of athletes as always...it is BG. They'll hang around the top 15 I think.
