Could have been a variation of it. But it didn't look precise at all. Appeared to be more of a read option type offense for Witherspoon. He carried the ball a lot whether through scrambles or designed runs.

Lol....pains me to say it but I think I miss the wing T as well.

Hoss, they had one of their top o linemen get banged up on Saturday. If he can play Friday I think they can get it done. I think everybody panicked a little on Saturday (including the Coaches a bit) against a quality opponent. If we can get Reinhemer going, I think we'll be ok on Friday...if not it's gonna be a long night.

The dwindling numbers at John Hardin have shown it's ugly head. Don't know if there is any relief in sight. Boyle looked better getting off the bus against the 4A School John Hardin. I don't know if hitting the panic button is in effect just yet. It is early on, and they did face a quality opponent. This was Witherspoon's first start at QB and it showed. Give them a chance to work through some kinks and let's see how it plays out. He threw 2 pick 6's which kinda put JH behind the 8 ball and put them in desperation mode. I think they threw the ball something like 25 times.....this is not what they want from the QB. Boyle's oline and dline were dominant, I think the running game stats had us not gaining 100 yards on the ground....that is the problem area for JH.

There is alot of new going on at JH. New offense, new coach, new QB etc. They ran into a buzz saw in Boyle on Saturday. Boyle on that day would have made alot of teams look bad. The point being is that JH won't face that type of competition in district play. Hopefully by midseason we'll be able to get an identity and figure out who we are offensively and defensively. Long season ahead....don't get too high (Boyle) and don't get too low (JH).

Couldn't agree more. That group has been together for awhile now. Tyler Durbin is legit and Darius Harding is top 25 in the state. They should return to region this year absolutely.

I don't doubt they can win it with the height that they have. Lasley although maybe not 6'3 or so played much bigger than that. Most AC fans will tell you he was their best overall player. Add one of the Melton kids (don't know them apart) he was about 6'3 or 6'4 if not taller. In addition, for Taylor County Trey is over 6'3. I get your overall point though. You can win without the height, but you better have some kids that play a lot bigger than 6'3 or 6'4.

Hoss is on point...Withersooon will play Qb. He doesn't have qb skills but he is a special athlete and that's worth the price of admission. This game could go many different ways and none of them would surprise me

But did you watch everyone else play this summer? This class just doesn't have a clear cut leader as to best player IMO. They are all muddled together probably from 1-10. I've watched CJ Frederick, Jake Walters, Jay Scrubb, Andrew Taylor, AK, Mickey Pearson, Steven Fitzgerald and so on and so on. I think everyone mentioned above played well this summer. Mr. Basketball will be an interesting race this season.

Belmont fits AK perfectly. They consistently compete for conf championships, and that means a birth to the NCAA tourney. Happy for the kid and his family

When you have established an environment of excellence the departures aren't felt as bad. The kids that return to BG's lineup know what excellence looks like and they know what it takes to get there. This is why BG is so good year after year (great athletes don't hurt either). BG really big.

I think it's gonna take JH a minute to find it's footing this year. I'm more worried about the defense with this group. Could've been scrimmage jitters though

Goode was already the best interior player in the region, and now they've added more size. Could and should be interesting. If the kid is an interior player I don't think he a Goode can play at the same time. Other teams would take advantage of that I think. If he can stretch the floor a bit with his shot then that would be better for Larue. Don't they have another kid that plays inside for them as well?

I was already high on Larue. I think they have some nice pieces in place right now. I wonder if this is the kid that played for the Louisville Magic this summer on the 16U team. Would he and Goode be able to play at the same time. Bardstown is gonna take a step back this year. They have a couple of pieces but his better kids are just too young I think this year. With that being said, I still think they come out of the district.

I would be shocked if Andrew didn't play for Corbin this year. I think he and his family absolutely love the school, plus his younger brother plays bball there as well. Doesn't make sense.

I think 6 is Witherspoon, looks like they were co-number 5's

Malik is a very athletic kid...he's not better than Pearson, but he does some things on the court very well. JH should have a very good group this year...time will tell though.
