I've never had the opportunity to watch CCH and Cooper live. I did watch the rebroadcast of the KOB game and I was floored. You could feel the intensity and competition just watching it on video. What I saw was two teams that have a healthy dislike but respect for each other. The pace of that game and the physical nature of it was impressive. I saw kids helping each other off the floor after a hard foul; nothing dirty. CJ and AK both showed up for the game; and they both are phenomenal players. Good luck to both of the teams moving forward.

OC played their butts off and I think their a good team....I don't mean to take anything away from them.

OC starts 5 seniors that have played alot of bball. Not to mention playing the game at OC. The score is a bit surprising but OC should have been favored playing 3 games in 3 days in their home building with a fairly veteran group.

Fern Creek paid the price for this title run years ago. Some didn't buy into it the philosophy of the team; and they left the program. The seniors on this team speak the same language and Coach has done a good job of keeping them all hungry. For instance; you rarely hear Tony Rogers' name outside of FC circles, but he might be the most underrated player on the team. I think they are built for the title run. It's a testament to the unselfish nature around the team.

Does Walters play a lot of minutes. I understand the ppg numbers because of the type of offense they run; but the rebounding numbers I would think should be higher than 7 pg.

Real good shooting night for the dogs. Mickey Pearson led the team with 32 ptz and over 15 rebs. Malik Wright added 21 pts and 8 rebs.

Etown should be a good test for Spencer County. Should be a good game.

Absolutely agree with this. I didn't want it to seem that others couldn't win it, because I think there are a few that can. I think FC's overall depth and the way they play makes them a difficult team to beat in a tournament setting. They don't necessarily rely on the 3; so cold shooting won't cripple them; and they have enough unselfish depth that they can absorb foul trouble and/or injury probably better than most. But agreed Scott County, CCH, Cooper, Trinity are all worthy.

Fern Creek might be the most equipped team to make a title run this year. That group has been together long enough and they know each other well enough to work together at a high level. Those kids have put aside egos and self interests for over 4 years to get to this point....it's no secret. They are a team in every sense of the word....so good luck to anyone who plays them when they are close to playing their "A" game.

Fern Creek plays similarly at times; with better shooters and scorers than Ballard though. It's no secret about CCH inability to handle pressure, every team has weaknesses but they make up for that with other parts of their game. They are as solid overall as any team in the state.

Agreed....Valley will be heard from this year. They won't win the region, but they will give the rest of the state fits. Plus no Johnson or Cager for Hoptown so this score is about right
