Thought this would be a hard matchup for LC. Boyle can definitely flip a switch, and be a major player. Great athletes and winners on the floor. Tomorrow championship will be a fun one! Patriots overachieved IMO. They will be back, and will always be a factor!

Somerset won without Jamison Coomer (their best PG defender), but Josh Lewis FR guard stepped up huge. Godby and Whitaker both had 20. A great HS basketball game.

I agree, shouldn't be a discussion about losing their job. They were much improved this season. I would like to know who was out before making a declaration about whether this was a true upset or not. But, I would say outside of DCA and Boyle they're arguably the most athletic team in the region and Miyo Jones and Myles Radford is a pretty dynamic backcourt. They have a really good 8th grader as well about to come through. So, I wouldn't say the cupboard was just bare for them.

I wouldn't think the coach would be in danger of losing his job. He's a well respected teacher in the building (Maybe even teaching AP classes). A lot of people fail to realize that most of these coaches are full time teachers, who have other responsibilities in the building.

I assume the "off the floor" stuff is in relation to East Jess PG stepping away from basketball post I saw last night. Def. not a good time of year to have off the floor issues going on, but nothing surprises me in today's society.

Coomer was banged up again last night. Hopefully, not too serious. The injuries have been extensive for the Jumpers this season.

Yes, a few close calls for some upsets while @ Garrard Co. but will be first time as head coach. Has been there as an assistant coach and player.

Yes, I think all 3 teams knew going into the season the 1 seed was critical for sure. Casey had been playing better, but Somerset was focused last night.

Really hurt Rock Walker Craig fouled out late in regulation on a charge. Close call, that could've went either way!

Jumpers cruise to a win. They will meet Pulaski Co. On Thursday night @ 7:00. The two teams split during the season, with each winning on the other home floor. This one is at Rockcastle County high school.

Pulaski won a thriller in OT by 2. (Can’t remember the score). Rock made a 3 with 5 secs left in OT to tie the game, and the fouled on the ensuing inbounds. The player had to think they were down or had fouls to give. Pulaski made both FTS to ultimately win the game. A great semifinal.
