2024 Lincoln County Patriots
LethalPG replied to Shaquille_Oatmeal's topic in KY Football (High School)
Interest level on the road. And, when the game is @ Lincoln the Lincoln fans will certainly come out. -
Steve Wright trying to coach as many teams in the state as possible before he hangs it up? lol. Steve has a proven track record as a winning coach, but his stay is short to say the least.

From an interest level, and revenue standpoint it makes sense trying to get a local team like Danville back on the schedule for Lincoln Co. -
Open Job: Wayne County

Talent-wise, if everyone stays put which is a big IF they're preseason 1 atleast top 3 in the region. It will be interesting to see who applies. -

They're common in most school districts. -

He's in the first year of a three year contract. Not sure legally, how he wouldn't survive if he can take the heat. -

Sad day for the profession. High school coaches need multi-year contracts with buyouts. The ability to axe someone year to year is absurd. The court is named after the man... -
Open Job List 2024 Off Season

Frederick Douglass and Taylor Co. for most attractive. My why is because they're proven winning jobs, and their talent pool and facilities are upper tier. Least attractive would be Lee Co. due to location and chances of winning. -
Way Too Early Preseason Rankings for 24-25
LethalPG replied to ACfan4's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Somerset beat DCA in region because of gameplan, execution and some luck. Not because of individual talent. Almost all their shots came off an executed set play designed to get an open 3. Lincoln should be back as well. Should be another great season with a lot of talent coming back in region. DCA will be right back in it for sure because their size and natural ability is overwhelming in this rural region. -

Probably for a different topic, but you throw in Lincoln Co., Southwestern and Somerset and you have your top 8 right there in Region 12. -
The Commodores went 4-25 this past season.

Way Too Early Preseason Rankings for 24-25

Danville Christian returns two veteran guards and two 6"11 impact players. They're state ranked caliber team talent wise. -
I would add Carson Fraley for the Maroons. He was banged up a lot of the season with knee issues, but seems to be looking more like himself the last 2 weeks of season. He's a bully of a PG, that is physical at the rim and a really good passer. They compliment him well with some capable 3 PT shooting around him. You're spot on with Blankenship and Anderson. Quality players for them this season.

This seems from the outside to be a really good job. The Cardinals have great facilities and have won back to back District Championships.

Coach Irvin announced his retirement on Social Media.

East won the Salt River Conference in 8th grade, and runner ups in the 7th grade this season. If they stay in 12th, it’s a better job than some believe.
-
He played at East jess.
-
He has a toddler @ home, and wife works in that area. I don't think it's necessarily a better job.
-
Could take a swing @ Coach Young. His wife has family in the area. It would be tough to get him to leave Somerset I would think, but they have the shortest coaching staff in the region. Only 1 assistant coach.

These teams will be meeting for the 4th time this season. Results: Dec. 15th Somerset 49-47 Jan. 26th Pulaski Co. 63-56 Feb. 29th 47th District Championship Somerset 55-52 It will be super tall task for Somerset to bounce back from last night's semifinal, but this team has been very resilient all season long. The Maroons have been as well. Both teams have navigated injury problems, and both coaches have done a great job tweaking their defensive systems to get their teams to this point.
