  1. Last year, they lost to Highlands, LaSalle and Elder. Highlands was their only team to beat them in NKY.
  2. I think the current senior's lost 2 or 3 games as freshmen. The current Junior's had a losing record as freshmen. The current sophomores won the NKY Championship last year.
  3. Hasn't Ryle beaten SK 2 out of the last 3 years? Ryle has one down season and now everyone is writing them off! Oldham County should be the top newcomer, but Fern Creek always has athletes.
  4. Didn't Cov. Cath. lose 4 starters on the O-Line?
  5. Hands Down, Kyle England at Ryle! Ryle will also return 4 starters on the offensive line, which is also a key to success. He averages around 6 yards a carry and has almost 1,100 yards rushing for his career. He is primed for a great year.
  6. I was told that Elder is paying Ryle additional money to play at Elder in 2019 and then Ryle will keep all the gates when they return the favor in 2020.
  7. I've heard that teams like Ryle have a hard time getting teams to schedule them. I've heard that Simon Kenton is still looking for 2 or 3 games and it's almost March. How many teams out there still need games for them to play. One of Ryle's Coach's told me that Elder is paying Ryle to play at the PIT next season and then they will return the game to Ryle the next year. I do believe that Ryle will be much better than what people think!
  8. Ryle High School had the following sign Jacob Gideon (Western Michigan University) Mason Molique (Eastern Kentucky University) Jackson Saladin (Georgetown College)
  9. Talking to one of the coaches and was we played well considering Ryle played 7 games on the day (6-1) and HC only played 5 games (5-0). I believe HC only got to play 2 pool games and had the first round bye. Good day for both teams!
  10. I know Coach Wallace took BG to Dalton to play 7 on 7. Will he now take the Tigers to Dalton as well? It would be a great trip for them!
  11. I believe that Honaker has been named the DC and Collinsworth will be the Assistant Head Coach and continue working with the defense. The entire defensive staff remains and they will do a great job. If by coaching decisions, you are referring to onside kicks. I heard Woolf say that Molique was one of the best onside kickers he has ever seen and that they had recovered 20 plus onside kicks the past 2 seasons. Also, maybe the coach takes chances because he has the confidence in the defense to stop teams. I believe his confidence in Woolf and the defense was right on because they did stop teams and that enabled and helped the offense to put up a lot of points. Yes, Woolf going to be the head coach at CCHS is a big loss, but good programs have coaches that will move on to do bigger and better things and those programs just keep on winning.
  12. That would mean that someone moving from NKY to Cincy would be ruled eligible, but someone moving from Cleveland to Cincy would not. I find that hard to believe.
  13. Simon Kenton is tough, but they would be 5B because Ryle would be 5A. Ryle has beaten them the last two seasons. I would probably rank Butler at 2 or 3 with what they have coming back. They outed both Ryle and Male last year before falling to St. X.
  14. I heard Engler never applied for it either time. Don’t know if he would have gotten it, but from my understanding is he didn’t pursue it. He does have a good thing going at Ryle and he’s done a great job. I don’t understand where people think he’s under achieved. Ryle wasnt exactly setting the win column on fire before he took over. All he’s done is win! I believe his 3 loses this year were to 3 very good football teams. Didn’t they lose several key players during the season to injuries and they still beat an undefeated Simon Kenton. I don’t know his overall record but his only loss in 2016 was to a very good Scott County team. Seems to me that he’s doing something right!
  15. Didn’t Ryle have 5 turnovers and still win by 20?
  16. I believe Ryle starts a sophomore on the d-line as well.
  17. Cathedral is a really good team without the running back. Their leading rusher on the season did play last night. Yes, 2-4 but still ranked #2 in their class in Indiana so that says something about their schedule. I believe they still had 5 or 6 players with D1 offers play last night. One has to love those critics that can’t give credit but finds excuses.
  18. I believe Cathedral beat Chatard by 3 TDs a couple weeks ago.
  19. Who are the Coaches that vote? There are only 8 votes, but yet there are 20 plus NKY teams. Wouldn't you think all NKY coaches would have a vote?
  20. Win or lose, one has to hand it to Ryle for stepping up to play a national power. It brings a lot of positives and notoriety to Ryle, NKY and the state. It’s a win, win because if they win, then it’s a confidence builder that they can play with anyone and if they lose, then they are supposed to lose. Good Luck Raiders, we are cheering like crazy for you!
  21. I believe he ran a 4.7 the day after running a track meet. I believe he ran a 4.5 at a Cincy camp last year
  22. Most forget that Ryle lost several starters, all in key spots, that are now playing for Big time college programs. Plus, I've heard that they are currently missing several starters to injuries. I heard Bisek kid (Toledo commit) did not play against HC. A win is a win and to win it the way they did with so many young players serves well for the future. I also heard someone say it was the same score they beat HC by last year and then the second matchup in the playoffs wasn't even close.
  23. How fair is it that Simon Kenton could win their region and have to possibly travel to McCracken County for a semi-final game? Wow! That is a great reward to win a region and then have to travel 4 plus hours! If the KHSAA is going to play cross districts and force teams to travel, then they should seed the entire tournament. Otherwise, it makes no sense that Simon Kenton and Ryle are 6 miles apart and would not meet until the state championship game this year. Seed and play the semi final games at neutral sites would be a great solution!
  24. Congrats to Jamale! Well deserved and the AP couldn't go wrong with this selection. However, the AP All-State is so biased for and against certain parts of the state. For instance, there's either no voters or only 1 voter from NKY and thereby NKY gets very little attention and very few kids on the All-State team. Just an opinion!
  25. Ryle returns 7 or 8 offensive and 6 defensive starters. They do lose Tanner Morgan, which for any team would be hard to replace. They do return 4 offensive lineman and the best RB (Chisholm) in NKY. Ryle has a chance to be pretty good again next year.
