No, but banged us up pretty good. SC is one hell of a team, and Ryle is very good. They played physical, smart, and are very athletic - especially on offense. Chisholm is the best RB I've seen play in person in the past 3 years, period. England is overshadowed so badly there, because if he were at almost any other school in NKY, he would be the feature back.

That's a ridiculous comment. We don't have ENOUGH talent maybe, but to sit there and say that Bowman, Veneman, Steiden, Schwalbach, M. Schwalbach, Wogan, and the like aren't talented. We need more talent.

The comment about play calling and keeping jobs was 100% uncalled for. It was a frustrating game, but I never should have made that comment. I apologize to any coaches, players, or fans of HHS that saw that.

Several missed tackles tonight but credit the bruising running of Ryle. They have some nice speed and strength.

 

Outside of the horrible pass play called just before the half where Delegrange of Highlands picked it I'd say they played a pretty flawless game.

 

The Birds couldve thrown the ball every down to Vennaman and moved it better than mixing run plays. Just my opinion.

I talked to the CovCath coaches before the game tonight. They believe Highlands has the talent, that we hear about on here.

I agree completely. The run game for us wasn't happening at all. Wilson was not 100% and the sophomores weren't getting any ground either. Would have liked to see some more Veneman deep post and Wogan with an in or out under him.

The offense isn't the issue for Highlands. The D had a couple of interceptions and Ryle missed a field goal before the half....Highlands hasn't had their punt return unit on the field in at least 2 games. It was no secret what Ryle was going to do tonight, and they did it.

They need to keep Vennaman on one side alone so the safety can't cheat. He beats every DB 1-1.
