Paul Laurence Dunbar is announcing their new hire this afternoon at 2:30pm.

Perry and Brown are very good friends from what I hear, smart career choice for Perry to jump on the Neal train.

I'm sure Estill County head coach will apply. He applied for both Dunbar and Tates Creek.

Coach Engler would be a great hire on part of Lex Cath...but I'd have to think that the folks at Ryle would be doing all they can to hang on to him based on their 4 years of experience with Mike as their skipper.

I had heard in passing that there was some discontent with how this season went so not completely surprised.

I heard the same. I didn't see Perry leaving this soon though. Best of luck to him at Troy.

Not so sure they would be fighting as hard as you may think. Coach Engler walked into a very promising situation with the cupboard pretty loaded and community ready for change. Ryle has had good success on the field, in terms of wins and losses, but there was a lot questionable decisions, and plenty of in game mismanagement that anyone who watched these last few years can attest to. Ryle really struggled that first season under Coach Engler. Tanner Morgan came back home the following year and the best running back in school history just graduated. Let's see how the next couple years pan out.
