  1. If and only if Mercer can spread Anderson out on defense and keep them from crowding the box, they are very capable of getting their offensive game going. We have very capable skill players and most of them are only 2 games into their experience at this level. I think Anderson may be just too good regardless of what Mercer can do on offense, but it is at AJ field which will bode well for our chances. Go Titans! Anderson 35 Mercer 28
  2. God speed to the young man as he recovers! What year is he?
  3. Brady is an outstanding young man and I’m excited to see he seems to be fitting in well At Danville! I know it’s said about a lot of these young men, but IMO you’d be hard pressed to find one, who wants it more than he does! Good luck to the young Admiral!
  4. Agreed. He has worked his tail off, for what he has become and to me, the sky’s the limit. Couldn’t happen to a better young man! Great family, who is really close and supportive of everything he does. Congratulations to the Bartleson/ Bugg gang! More to come, I’m sure!
  5. I beg to differ on rather there was a clear favorite, preseason on all three of the previous years. Three years ago, it was Mercer County, two years ago and last year Pulaski was considered the class of the region. Two out of those three, the preseason front runner, went on to play in Rupp...maybe I’m mistaken, but this is how I recall it!
  6. Is there any chance he rejoins the Titans? Or did he do this, with another job in line?
  7. There are bound to be a few, I’m not expecting, that will show out and have a great season. But another guy to keep an eye on would be Malachi Yuley. Kid is strong and quick. He and Yeast will most likely be our running backs. That being said though, Jackson Lewis kinda came out of nowhere last year, and it wouldn’t surprise me a bit to see his little brother Jamison have a great year! At wide receiver, Jon Jon Logue will be a consistent target...lots I’m missing, but there’s a few more guys to keep an eye on
  8. It’s going to be another exciting year with some new faces leading the way! I can’t wait!!
  9. I tend to agree that Gillis should have been more of a target on offense last year and that he is a very good post player. I don’t know how you say Mercer layed an egg when they were unbeaten in the 12th until they got beat in the region final. I thought, considering they had a 1st year coach, they won a few that not many would have picked them in, going into the season. You say no one got involved outside of Trevon and Carter, but Ty Devine went out and had a very nice Senior year. There were games he led the team in scoring. I think they did a pretty good job moving the ball and getting the best shot. I was proud of the job this new coaching staff did and fully expect them to put my Titans in the best position possible moving forward. IMO, Pulaski had the best roster last year pre-season. With the way Devine, Drakeford and others played I agree by seasons end Mercer had the best roster.
  10. An exceptional athlete, 5’11ish and can dunk a basketball with the ease of a guy 6’5”. Saw a post on here a couple years ago of him Making a catch in the end zone during summer practice and his knees where at the DBs shoulders. Knew then he was special. Congratulations to the young man!
  11. I’m pretty sure Woodford will join for the 19-20 season. If they were going to be joining next season, they would probably garner consideration as a top 3 or 4 team, imo
  12. I’m not sold on Spencer County, as the team is constructed currently. I’ve seen a lot of touting as it pertains to the youngsters, but these kids have yet to even make the Region tournament. Convince me that they can make the kind of jump you guys are thinking they will. I do think with the expected decline of Anderson County they will make region, just not sure they are top 3
  13. Great leader of one of the greatest teams in the history of Kentucky girls high school basketball! Epitomizes what a great teammate and leader should be. Great day to be a Titan!
  14. Make sure you click on “finals”, otherwise you will get the voting closed response
  15. I think Mercer just has too many weapons for GRC to get the win. I’ll say 68-55 Titans
  16. Prepspin stated on their Twitter account that Seygan had lost a contact lense towards the end of the game. Not sure that has anything at all to do with the missed free throws, but certainly could have. Really impressed with Faith Lake sinking 2 huge freebies with 4 seconds left, after getting the steal. She is about a 57% shooter!
