  1. Glad to see other people keep up with this. With so much hype of players in the NCAA, or going to d1 and a few d2 schools, you never hear about all the kids who play at naia schools. I'm all about ky basketball, but I'm rooting for William Penn to win it all. They have been one of the top teams this year, and very successful since they moved to d1 years ago. Pikeville also was a top team this year, never figured on their first round loss. Lot of good players from the state of ky go to naia schools across the country. But most people never hear about them because it's not NCAA D1.....
  2. Anyone pay attention to NAIA men's basketball? Just curious considering there were five schools from KY that made the 32 team feild tournament.
  3. Ecotech 4 cyl. Some are good and I've had them with 200,000+ miles still running. I've had many more that never made it to a100,000. Almost all were timing chain failure that led to catastrophic engine damage. And yes and engine can break a chain while shutting it off.
  4. Georgia missed a lot of uncontested shots as well. Point blank put backs that didn't fall, contested and uncontested. KY got it done, but this team has never impressed me yet.
  5. Bring me to life- Evanescence (Amy Lee) Running with the shadows of the night-Pat Bennatar. Total eclipse of the heart- Bonnie Tyler
  6. I can garuntee you that the question was asked and answered by no less than 6 of his previous players, and they agreed with what camelman stated. Not all the players were asked but enough to see what the general consensus was.
  7. My understanding was that HC didn't have a freshman coach at the start of the school year or even at the first of Sept that year. They needed a coach and she stepped up. And did a damn fine job too.
  8. Just curious why these are the only two you are considering? American car manufacturers have come a long way with reliability and cost of maintenance since 2000. My wife drives a 2014 Ford escape with Ecoboost 2.0 has 54,000 miles on it and had never had a problem. I believe in buying american products as long as they are comparable.
  9. Just a shame things didn't happen like this last year at HC. Would've been a lot better team. I am happy to see the success these players have had this year.
  10. Owner of a small auto recycling yard for the past 6 years. Before that excavation and concrete work for 15 years. Side job, teach people to drive way above the average person ability. ( Which the average persons ability to drive at all has gone down hill !)
  11. To those who have had the pleasure of running into Tim Nolan in the past couple years, you know he is a whack job! How in the hell he got elected to the school board I cannot figure out. Well maybe I can.
  12. Looks like south Dearborn didn't know to not let Schrand shoot. Lol
  13. I would agree with all but your first sentence. Not all coaches work with all players and that is fact. Not saying this is a problem at Cov Cath I have no idea. Going thru drills, running plays, and scrimmages involving the whole team does not constitute " working with each individual at making them better at their position or role".
  14. Not developing other players into confident scorers. THIS is a problem with a lot of high school coaches! I've seen it for years where the coaches want the good players to score and get the attention, and never work with the supporting players to make them better.
  15. Technology will be the downfall of the human race. I believe it more now than when that was said to me back in 1995!
  16. Working in Huntington years ago I found out that WV of the poorest state in the country. Outside of the few biggest cities, not much population. If you've never been to downtown Huntington, it's like a lot of bigger cities in the way it is laid out. A giant grid of streets and Avenues on the Ohio River. When I was there twenty years ago it was cocaine that was a problem, but nothing like the heroin of today. Most people don't like my theory for curing the heroin problem. To me it's like combating the West Nile virus. You go after the source and kill it (mosquitoes mainly) and you will stop the "epideminc"
  17. Balanced. Makes a big difference when the whole team can get involved instead of one player scoring 20+ and the others in single digits or not according at all. Maybe just maybe Schrand finally sees the light. I also think they started off this season with a little easier schedule than last year. I hope for the best for the kids, but I'll never be on board with the coaching.
  18. Well muskie I'm gonna say the opposite of you. Give the kids the credit. Because if what you were saying is true they would have had a much better record last year.
  19. He may not be in a city, but a lot of subdivisions have their own rules which include no discharging of firearms.
  20. Final Destination ring a bell?
  21. That's the beauty of electric motors. The torque is the same from the time you send juice to it as it is at Max rpm. Gas engines make peak torque usually in the mid to higher rpm range, with peak horsepower coming in at the to of the rpm range. Newer cars having more gears have made the performance and fuel milage better by keeping the engine in it's torque and horespower " sweet spot", but it still will not match the torque of electric. With that much torque, you don't need all the gears to get it moving and moving quickly!
  22. Anyone care to predict how many games Holy Cross will win this year? Anyone think they will make it to the regionals again? 50% chance they can, but I don't think they can beat any team in their district. I feel for the players, as they will go thru the same thing as last year. Good luck to the players hope you prove me wrong.
