But if you look at the words origin, it was not an offensive or derogatory remark until later down the road. It was derived from the many spellings of the word negra (black). People started using the n word to describe the black people brought over as slaves. Again I say it's not the word it's the user intent and actions. But if a black person finds it racist or offensive to be called that by a white person even when no racism or attempt to belittle or try and show them as an "inferior" person exist, then by no means should a black person use that word either.

Great points brought up here: He didn't direct it toward anyone or any group, or call anyone the N word. He was talking about someone else using the word and facing no consequences. Black people are allowed to call each other the N word and it's ok. Black musicians and comedians use the word a bunch! And it's ok. Movies and comedy routines get away with using the word no matter what race the person is saying it. Do most of you all on here even know where the word came from? How did it become a "racist or bad" word? If it's so offensive to Black people then why do they say it at all? Words are only racist if they are used in a racist way. Plain and simple. Words are not racist, actions are! People call me "Indian". I am not Indian. I am from native American decent. Guess they are racist. I should be offended. I along with many others for years had used the N word to describe useless, no good piece of crap, Low life ,living off the government black people. I WAS WRONG FOR THIS. FOR TWO REASONS: the N word meaning is not what I described above. There are people of all races including whites that fit that description as well. I have no problem with him saying the word when used like he did. Or anyone using it in that way.

Congrats to a KY guy on a KY win! -
Sounds like your doing it the right way. The 2s help keep the rest from sinking in the ground. The dense grade locks it all together. Topped with 57 or 6s or some people like 8s. I did excavation work for a long time. Seen too many people put small gravel on dirt only to have it sink in the mud.

Seen all of it. Last two seasons get a little more serious and not as funny. Still love this show. Hope they bring Masterson back, as I feel he was unjustly let go. No charges or convinction, just words and he's fired. Hilarious stuff at moments. Great one liners!

High powered c02 pellet gun best bet. Quiet, so nobody knows your business. Happy hunting! You could set traps but then you have to deal with a spraying skunk.,...

I have one problem with automated cars. When an accident happens, and it will, who do you go after? Right now you go after the driver and his her insurance company if it is a bad accident and lots of expenses or casualties occur. With a driverless car, you could sue the owner but they will just put the blame on the manufacturer or the person who programmed the car. Or the software maker. Or the mechanic. Or the roadway. It's bad enough insurance companies try to put the blame on someone else at it is now in all sorts of cases. These cars are gonna be a mess for the person that gets hit by one.

Supposedly having a wall repair is what led to the collapse. Hopefully it was a slow process, (collapse) and the barrels survived!

I have seen the ball hit across 27 and bounce in the parking lot ,hit the canopy of the gas station,at old vater's ballpark. My brother in law did this. He stood 6'4" -300lbs, very athletic guy. Hit many out of the park there back in the day. Sadly he's no longer with us. He was a local "legend" for a while.

I can understand now the burnt out thing. All my son ever wanted was to go to college playing basketball. Last year when he graduated, be had a few options with partial scholarships for d2 and NAIA . He chose to go to William Penn University in Oskaloosa Iowa. 540 miles from home. One of the top NAIA programs in the country in basketball. He was ready to come home by Christmas break, but stuck out the year. BURNT OUT ON BBALL. He is now transferred to NKU to finish his degree. We watched him play for ten years of school ball and 7 years of AAU ball. He played against Sean McNeil many times. It's a thing you never want to hear from a kid who always wanted to play College ball; "dad I don't want to play any more". But all you can do is help them move along. I hope the best for Sean, always liked him as a player and kid

You say it's not a "safe way" to manage pain. If you read my earlier post, you would see that I have been on pain meds for ten years +. I have no addiction, nor do I take all that I am givin. Only take as needed. I know others like me, I know others who abuse the system to sell them, and I know others who can't get along in life without taking twice as much as I get monthly. It's only the addicts fault. Plain and simple. Yes there should be monitoring. Yes there should be drug testing. Yes there should be a limit to everyone. But in the end it is the users fault. I have never met a recovered drug addict ( of any drug including heroin which is far more addictive than pills) that has EVER put the blame on anyone but their self! And yes I know a handful or two
