If these kids would go to the school that they are supposed to be going to all the games would be more competitive,wether its regular season games,playoff games,or the state championship game.It would also give some of these schools a better chance at getting to the playoffs that has never been.Way too many of your better atheletes are going to the same school(no matter where they live)just because of the tradition of the school and its football or basketball program.I know guys I just opened up a can of worms.

After watching the game Friday night I have mixed feelings about the rams defense.At times they are great,others not so great.I know penalties are part of the game,but lets be honest here.Penalties are the only thing that kept the rams in the game especially the first half.The panthers could of easily had 20 points the first half.Hopefully the rams defense plays the whole game against beechwood,not just half of the game.Good luck to the rams for a state title and hopefully no injuries.

I think the bulldogs were tickled to death when this game came to an end.fun game to watch.good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

They may be the favorite but this year Hazard and Paintsville will give them all they can handle.The next two years Pikeville will give them all they can handle.I don't know this for a fact but I am being told that Pikeville has only one senior on the team this year.So I don't think its going to be a cakewalk for Beechwood the next few years like a lot of people think.jmo

The tigers defense was impressive tonight,i know the panthers are young(only one senior)but the tigers were in Blairs face all night long and the running backs had no where to go.It will take a very good class 1a team to beat the tigers.also please pray for the tiger player that was taken to the hospital.

Yes,I will agree with you.I will be surprised if Hazard does not match up well with Beechwood.Also I think Pikeville had the offense to be in Bowling Green,their defense was just not good enough this year.JMO

I think they may be referring to half of Hazards players came from Perry Central.I am not sure if this is true or just hear say.

Hazard wins and Corey Smith has a big game.I have not seen Beechwood this year but everyone talks about how small they are.But they are doing something right because they are playing for the championship plus this is Beechwood we are talking about.Something tells me Smith will have just as big of a game as Pugh(Pikeville) did last year.Good luck to both teams and hopefully no injuries.

This team completely dominated Pikeville last week and just beat a team that has two wins against Raceland.I say yes they can beat Beechwood.Good luck to Hazard,and lets keep the trophy in the mountains.Also congrats to Paintsville on a great season.

Corey Smith is just as good as the Phelps kid at running the ball.Both are very good.The 3 touchdowns that Pikeville scored all came on pass plays so Hazard may be a little weak there.But I still look for a great game.Good luck to both teams.

Congrats to Hazard on the win and congrats to Pikeville on a fine season.Just too much size and too much Corey Smith for the Panthers to contain this time.I really don't know how the Panthers won the first game unless it was too many turnovers by the dogs.If Paintsville over looks the dogs they will loose.It will take a very good team to beat the dogs.But I know Paintsville is very good.Good luck to both teams next week.

The team with the least amount of penalties and turnovers wins this one.I like both quarterbacks in this game.I think Corey Smith of Hazard is just as good at carrying the ball as the Phelps kid at Paintsville.On Pikevilles side I think you will see Blake Charles carrying the ball all 4 quarters,not just 1 or 2 quarters.This will be very interesting if this happens.Good luck to both teams and hopefully no injuries.

Great game.No defense played.I know the panthers won but I was also impressed by the dawgs offense.I think Smith is just as good as Phelps(Paintsville)running the ball.He is a bull.Their passing game is also very good.The panthers need Rhodes and Sloan back healthy by playoffs.

The Pirates are just too much as far as their physical strength goes,plus I am afraid their huge line will dominate the Panthers on both sides of the ball.Their are some positions that the Panthers can match on the Pirates speed,but when its all said and done,the Pirates are just too much.I will consider it a win for the Panthers if they can come out of this one without any injuries.Good luck and hopefully no injuries for both teams.

Congrats to the tigers.They were the better team tonight.The panthers will have to get better on both sides of the ball before playoffs or they will be short timers.One of the problems I have noticed the last two games for the panthers on offense is their receivers are going to have to do a better job at catching the passes.They are dropping way too many passes even when they are wide open.

I have not seen Paintsville play this year.I have seen the Panthers play their first two.At the present time the Panthers are not the powerhouse they were the last two years but the year is still young.I will not be surprised at the outcome of this game,no matter who wins.Good luck to both teams and hopefully they will be no injuries.

I agree.You hear so many rumors about the football program at Pburg you really don't know what to believe.With less than 30 players dressing you wonder is student attendance down this year(I think you will start seeing this in the near future at all schools in eastern ky just because of the economy.Families are going to go where the jobs are)Maybe I am wrong,hope so.As far as Pikeville goes looks like their line needs some work(especially on defense)Blake Charles is going to have to get them fired up.Pikeville will put up a lot of points on the board so as of now I think their defense is the big question.Good luck to all eastern ky mountain teams.

Daric Pugh from Pikeville should have been nominated.Probably one of the best if not the best running back in Ky.Congrats to the nominees.Hope Kash wins.
